He’s the lad that Nottingham’s been rooting for and on October 15th JAKE BUGG finally releases one of the most anticipated album debuts of twenty twelve. Since signing to Mercury only last year, Jake has since been on an unstoppable path to the top notching up performances on Jools Holland, frequent radio one play and a summer schedule packed with festivals. Oh and not to mention bagging the support slot to Noel Gallagher on his US and European Tour and playing to Olympic champions at The Stone Roses secret gig.

Having already earned Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record THREE TIMES (!!!!) with ‘Trouble Town’, ‘Lightening Bolt’ and ‘Taste It’, fans can only wonder what Jake has up his sleeve with his self-titled debut. Boasting a mammoth fourteen tracks, the album will also feature fan favourites ‘Someone Told Me’, ‘Country Song’ and next single ‘Two Fingers’. Whilst he may only be 18, his songs are full of lyrics rife with unapologetic social observations, melodies that harness melancholic folk and a distinctive vocal that would have you believing he’d walked straight out of Greenwich Village 1961. It’s a combination that’s earned him praise from fans and professionals alike, with Radio 1 DJs Fearne Cotton and Huw Stephens both tipping him as THE one to watch in 2012.

With the chance to break America and Europe in sight and a headline UK tour in November, it seems JAKE BUGG is set for world domination. He’s been described as ‘the future of music’ and you know what? I think he just might be. Check out his first ever session with us back in 2010 HERE.
