Hello Comrades,

It’s time to get into ‘Back To School’ mode, and with that use your new HB pencil to take note of three Notts gigs in your diary that are NOT to be missed.

First up we yet another Nottingham-tastic line-up at The Maze on Wednesday (14th).

EMILY AND THE MARTENS – A lovely mix of soul, folk and blues to create a warm and lively atmosphere.

THE UNION STATION MASSACRE – “mad, experimental, avant-garde stuff” – their words not ours. Check them out for yourselves.

TOKYO GREEN – Four piece Jazz/Rock band. Carrying the night of partying on.

JODY BETTS – Us Nusic girls LOVE him, and not just for his music. Just him and his guitar, we’ll be down the front in awe!

SHANKLAND – The guy from ARSE FULL OF CHIPS, but more serious with some folk and shouting thrown in for good measure.

Doors: 7.30pm
Tickets: £5

Next on Friday (16th) we have ROYAL GALA headlining The Maze.

One of the biggest, loudest, craziest party bands in the whole of Notts – we dare ya to correct us! There’s no way you’ll be sat still to these guys in fact there’s no way you’ll be sat. Expect lots of trumpets, cat suits, and a whole load of people down the front partying their asses off.

Doors: 8.30pm
Tickets: £6

Finally on Sunday (18th) I’m Not From London will be providing a night of entertainment at The Golden Fleece.

VINOLENT – Alternative, experimental, punk and LOUD. Expect no less.

MOKSHA – Eclectic punk with a hip-hop twist! We’re intrigued… get down for something a little different.

Doors: 8.30pm
Tickets: FREE!

Yours in Love of New Music
