S’up Comrades!

This week we’ve got three gigs that are gonna blow your musical minds!

First we have 11 Nottingham artists at the final Acoustic Rooms of the summer (due to a big refurbishment – don’t worry they’ll be back!) on Monday (27th) at The Rescue Rooms.

First to take to the stage is the Acoustic Rooms regular MARC REEVES. Prepare to chill out to his smooth voice and touching lyrics.

Next up is Eleanor Lee from local band PRINTS IN THE SNOW. But she’s from Derby so we’ll have to leave it there…

LEE GOUGH and his trademark black suit will have all the girls swooning next when he takes the stage. Close your eyes and you’ll be watching the Notts version of Newton Faulkner.

SAINT RAYMOND are on next. Listen out for ‘Bonfires’ and ‘She Said No’. We’re loving these tracks at the Nusic HQ at the minute!

Next are the multi-talented VIGNETTES, expect cellos, flutes, homemade drums…oh, and of course guitars.

The Rescue Rooms‘s own bartender and whisky-lover JOE SLATER is on next. Your toes will definitely be tapping along to his fast, political songs. Why don’t you check out if his song-writing is better than his pint-pulling?

The charismatic LOUIS SCOTT will play next. His guitar manipulation and distinctive voice will blow you away, he never fails to amaze.

The lyrically-honest DANIEL CLIFFE will entertain us next, especially when he sings about naked girls and mad men down the street.

Derby’s Ali Powers will also be playing a set.

Next up is WILL JEFFERY, with his storytelling lyrics. Let’s all gather round the campfire!

Last up is the well-respected GALLERY 47 ending the night with his amazing songwriting and cool presence. We can’t wait to get our hands on his album! BREAKING NEWS: It’s just been announced that he will be playing T In The Park festival this year! Amazing news.

Doors: 7pm
Tickets: FREE!

Next we have BREADCHASERS‘s UK ‘Time To Start’ tour on Thursday (30th) at The Maze.

One of Nottingham’s hardest working bands embark on a huge UK tour touching base with places ad diverse as Bolton, Manchester, Birmingham and many more! This is of course if they can afford the petrol, having been let down their tour costs have rocketed and so we need a big turn-out Nottingham to help the band get out there and spread the Notts love across the UK.

It’s gonna be loud, it’s gonna be rowdy… It’s Ska what do you expect?! Get on your skanking shoes and get down there. Get involved HERE

Doors: 8pm
Tickets: £5

Finally is THE LUKEWARM EQUATION at Jam Cafe on Friday (1st).

Describing themselves as “Plodderific Dunce Jazz” we’re really excited ’cause “Plodderific Dunce Jazz” is one of our favourite genres.

Doors: 8pm
Tickets: FREE!

Yours in love of New Music
