Comrades!

WHAT a week we have coming up for you!

First up on Thursday (7th) July we have the incredible THE PETEBOX‘s UK tour at The Bodega Social Club.

This clever chappy combines his beatboxing skills, guitar and singing voice all through the use of a loop pedal. He makes deep bass noises, high pitched trumpets and multiple vocal harmonies all with his mouth! You’d be mad to miss him play. Oh and did we mention both Radio One and Channel Four think he’s the Dog Bollocks?

As if the line-up of this gig hadn’t already made you bought your ticket, NINA SMITH has just been confirmed as support act.

Now, if you haven’t seen Nina Smith play before then I absolutely urge you to catch her at this gig. She is, among other great female artists in this city, one of the best singers to come out of Nottingham. Her smooth, delicious vocals, that make shivers run through your whole body, are teamed up with a top notch band who all compliment each other so well.

Doors: 8pm
Tickets: £6

Next, we have the queen of pop RONIKA playing the Stealth Vs Rescued club night at The Rescue Rooms on Saturday (9th).

Another one of Nottingham’s top female artists, if indeed no the ‘toppest’, Ronika will guarantee dancing and boogeying from everyone in the room. And that’s not just our opinion no lesser a musical authority than the NME have fallen in love with her this year, and the musical blogosphere is near implosion so excited is it about her. We’re excited too, and also a little scared (we don’t like explosions).

Doors: 10.30pm
Tickets: £5

And finally, it’s here! The Future Sound of Nottingham FINAL, the biggest free local music gig EVER (probably) at Rock City.

The Notts-tastic line up for this amazing gig will be announced on Monday via the Nusic New Music Podcast so keep your eyes and ears peeled for that to find out who you will be dancing along to on Sunday.

For the meantime, warm yourself up for this massive gig by watching the video from last years show HERE.

It’s 14+ and free (yes, FREE) so you have absolutely no excuses not to be there to support our local talent.

We shall see you all on Sunday, where your opinion will count for 50% of the final vote, find out more here: http://www.nusic.org.uk/wordpress/splendour-comp/

Doors: 6.30pm
