Hello Comrades!

Got three massive gigs this week you’d be crazy to miss.

First up on Tuesday (21st) at The Maze we have Notts In A Nutshell, one of the most Notts-tastic nights out there!

Headlining this show, Indie/Rock N Rollers GREAT BRITISH WEATHER will produce heavy basslines and catchy guitar riffs guaranteed to get you out your seats and bopping along.

And DANIEL DOBBS will play some beautiful Acoustic. It might just be him and his guitar but there’s so much depth to his playing that you won’t even realise.

Doors: 7.30pm
Tickets: £3

Next, on Wednesday (22nd) SPOTLIGHT KID will be headlining their own show at The Bodega Social Club. They’re warming up for playing in some field somewhere called Glaston-something???

One of the most talked about Nottingham bands of the last twelve months get their big chance to get on the telly next weekend on the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury so they thought they’d better get some practice in!

Supporting will be FRONTIERS another much talked about Nottingham band who combine energy and Indie to produce some cracking anthems. They had the pleasure of playing the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds back in Aug 2009 so know all about the fun that awaits SK.

I AM LONO are an Electronica/Experimental two piece band creating chilled out beats.

And JAKE BUGG will play Folk and Country music so mature you won’t be able to believe he’s only 17! Big things lined up for this guy who also is playing Glastonbury, country bumpkins watch out Notts is coming to get ya!

Doors: 7pm
Tickets: £5

And finally, not because we’re biased or anything, but over the whole weekend (25th/26th) the FUTURE SOUND OF NOTTINGHAM semi-finals will take place at The Market Square. And they are going to be A to the mazing!

Eleven Nottingham acts get to live the dream and play argubly Nottingham’s most iconic space, not to mention the fun and frolics of chilling backstage with those party animals – Left and Right Lion!

This is a PUBLIC SHOWCASE for the public vote where you can come down and check out the semi-finalists in person, allowing you to make an informed choice General Election styley on who you think should make it the Rock City FINAL!

Check out our Nusic New Music Podcast out tomorrow morning (Mon 20th). It also tell ya how to vote.

Doors: 10.30am
Tickets: FREE!
