GIG ONE

This night is guranteed to be a chilled one with some of Nottingham’s finest acoustic acts performing. MARK NEIN is a brilliant live act and a top songwriter with a fascinating history that includes teaching none other than Mr Bob Dylan’s son to play the guitar. Come have a listen, you won’t be disappointed.

There will also be a dose of stunning instrumental songwriting and great musicianship from EVIL JACK. Bluegrass folk played with a fond depthness.

DAMP MAGIC will provide some of the most beautiful and ambient songs to chill out on a Thursday night to.

One hit wonder TOPLOADER are in danger of being outshone by the infectious chorus machine that is THE MONEY. Already self-sufficient, well-oiled veterans of residencies all over the world, THE MONEY are already making their mark. Winners of  our FUTURE SOUND OF NOTTINGHAM competition last year, THE MONEY had the honour of opening the main stage at Splendour festival.

GIG THREE

Nottingham Live presents JUST JAMES, GREAT BRITISH WEATHER, THE AMBER HERD, ROB GREEN and more at THE MAZE on Friday the 20th of January.

Headliners JUST JAMES will blow you away with their crashing rock drums soaked with electronica, saw synths and vocals with attitude. Check out our Future Session with them here. Carlsberg don’t do party bands, but if they did…

GREAT BRITISH WEATHER fall under the giant umbrella of indie rock but manage to sound fresh and unique with hints of punk and math rock (whatever that means!). This lot are going to be big, what a great chance to catch them in an intimate venue like THE MAZE. Check out our Future Session with them here.

THE AMBER HERD’S blissfully stripped-back indie and uplifting folk, THE AMBER HERD are without a doubt a crucial addition to the scene.

ROB GREEN is one of the most exciting acts in Nottingham at the moment. His playful soul music covered in jazzy fun as putting smiles on faces in venues all across Nottingham. Smashed his single launch on Friday at the CONTEMPORARY, check out our Future Session with ROB GREEN here.

Watch out for support from ANTZ (Anthony Greentree) who multi-instrumental folk is worth the entrance fee alone and don’t miss 15 year old singer/songwriter FRANKIE RUDOLPH who is quickly becoming one of the cities most promising young talents. He’s been on the circuit for no more than four months and already has a great following, also holds the Nusic record for the youngest act ever to get a rewind on the podcast. Also featuring is the beautifully talented HAYLEY AHERN plus LISA DE’VILLE who’s songwriting skills combined with her voice has the ability to cut your heart in two.

DOORS: 7:30pm
