There’s loads cracking off this week fine reader, something to please all kinds of earbuds. From Pop-Rock EP launches, to Grime Battles, and some Indie Rock n Roll too…

FRIDAY

FOR THE GIRL have a new EP on that there horizon, so they’re throwing a proper little launch party to celebrate.

FTG (boys are welcome too) are a band that make very good Pop-Rock, and when we say very good – we mean VERY good. Super slick, packed full of punchy choruses and ridiculously catchy melodies. They give bands like The 1975 a good run for their money, minus that annoying frontman. These guys actually have a pretty ace frontman, if ya were wondering. To get a proper feel for what the band are about, watch their latest video, it’s really quite something…

THE CHASE will be kicking off the evening with their Indie Alt-Rock. If you think the name sounds familiar, they have been around for bleddy ages, even though they’re only in their late teens. They build a massive wall of sound, top it off with plenty of rockstar swagger and make some huge tunes. Start as you mean to go on and all that.

THE MOCKING JAYS will also be joining the party with their super catchy Pop-Rock. One listen to latest single Boyfriend and you’ll be *CLICHE ALERT* dancing all over the place. Despite only being together a short number of years, they’ve got tons of tunes in their back catalogue that’ll be in yer head for ages!

THE HARMONICS return to Bodega to support FTG too with their 60s inspired Pop-Rock. Have a cheeky look at their Future Session if ya wanna know what to expect; but summarised – super catchy guitar riffs, short punchy songs, and a rather charismatic frontman too.

If ya don’t wanna become a rockstar yourself by the end of this gig, there’s something wrong with ya.

FRIDAY

Clash Money is back at Market Bar this Friday for Market Barz 2. There’s gonna be loads of battles popping off, plus some ace live performances too. You can get full deets on the battles HERE, deets on who ya can see performing below.

0115 MOB will be bringing massive energy as the collective takes over Market Bar. You can hear the diverse sounds that the members bring to the group over on their Soundcloud HERE. You may have heard him tearing up 1Xtra recently, and now ya can catch him in person – SNOWY, one of Notts’ Grime leaders will be showing up on the night too.

Price: £8
Doors: 9pm

SATURDAY

THE RUFFS are also taking over The Bodega this week for their own headline show. Fronted by CONNOR SPRAY, you’ll probably have heard of this lot, cos they put the work in. With a very distinctive sound, the band slip between beaut Verve-esque ballad’s and huge soaring Indie anthems at ease. We’re sure this’ll be a rowdy performance in the best possible way!

Supporting are THE FLAVELLS, fresh outta Clifton and with something to prove – these gents haven’t played too many gigs yet, but they’re already sounding ridiculously tight as a band. Kinda Folky, kinda Rock & Roll, and kinda straight out Rock. These fellas have got a big sound to them, and we’re sure it’ll go down a storm at Bodega on Saturday.

G91 from Italy will also be performing.

Price: £5
