Media exposure is vital to the success of musicians<\/strong>, it oxygenates your ambitions. If people don\u2019t know about you it’s going to be very hard to make a living as a musician, media gets you out there.
\n
\nIn the past there was not enough local media support of Nottinghamshire musicians, we evolved out of a recognition of that shortfall. There are however plenty of enthused, energetic promoters as well as great venues<\/strong>, a recent survey <\/a>confirmed the vibrancy of Nottingham’s live music scene:
\n
\nA situation that has only improved since the beginning of our movement four years ago. This is a long winded way of saying Nottingham may need more media but it doesn\u2019t need more promoters<\/strong>. Hence we don\u2019t get too involved in putting on gigs. We do the odd big gig such as our annual showcase THE FUTURE SOUND OF NOTTINGHAM<\/a> <\/strong>and we have got more involved with Splendour and Dot 2 Dot every year, and of course there are our workshops and school tours. But clubnights and gigs we like to leave to the pros! Details below:
