We&#8217;re expecting a stream of content to come out from this visit, shining a light on the urban music parts of the Notts scene.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nRight let\u2019s get into things, it\u2019s been another vibrant few weeks for Nottingham\u2019s music scene:<br \/>\n<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.spotify.com\/uk\/\">Spotify<\/a> <\/strong>declared Nottingham the second most musical city in the UK (only second?!)<br \/>\n<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/dogisdead?fref=ts\">DOG IS DEAD<\/a><\/strong> became the second Nottingham artist in 33 years to sell out <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rock-city.co.uk\/\">Rock City<\/a><\/strong>.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong>Paul McCartney&#8217;s<\/strong> been getting the Nottingham music bug checking out<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/adysuleimanmusic?fref=ts\">ADY SULEIMAN<\/a><\/strong>.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/bandofjackalsuk?fref=ts\">BAND OF JACKALS<\/a><\/strong> followed <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/indianathegirl?fref=ts\">INDIANA<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/adysuleimanmusic?fref=ts\">ADY SULEIMAN<\/a><\/strong> into the legendary <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/showsandtours\/shows\/venues\/bbc_maida_vale_studios\">BBC Maida Vale<\/a><\/strong> studios. New Nottingham resident<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/IzzyMarieHillMusic?fref=ts\">IZZY MARIE HILL<\/a><\/strong> is rumoured to be heading that way too.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n&#8211; Nottingham has become home to the world&#8217;s first ever<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncn.ac.uk\/content\/Academies\/PerformingArtsandMusicAcademy\/HeavyMetal.aspx\">Heavy Metal degree<\/a><\/strong>, courtesy of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncn.ac.uk\/content\/Home.aspx\">NCN<\/a><\/strong>, this has secured coverage for the Nottingham music scene right around the world.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/HarleighbluOfficial?fref=ts\">HARLIEGHBLU<\/a><\/strong> was &#8216;upgraded&#8217; from track of the day to record of the week by <strong>MISTA JAM<\/strong> securing herself a week of <strong>BBC 1Xtra<\/strong> plays plus her first ever play on <strong>BBC Radio One<\/strong>!<br \/>\n<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/indianathegirl?fref=ts\">INDIANA<\/a><\/strong> secured her first play from the man himself <strong>Zane Lowe<\/strong>, her second on the show.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/NatalieDuncanOfficial?fref=ts\">NATALIE DUNCAN<\/a><\/strong> also made her <strong>Zane Lowe <\/strong>debut, live from <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/showsandtours\/shows\/venues\/bbc_maida_vale_studios\">Maida Vale<\/a><\/strong>! Hooking up with the hottest act in electronic music right now, no she&#8217;s not dueting with <strong>David Guetta<\/strong> she&#8217;s singing with <strong>Disclosure<\/strong>. Big. In. The. Game.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/dottodotfestival.co.uk\/\">DOT TO DOT<\/a> <\/strong>announced a record Nottingham of local artists on the local line-up as well as a record number of Nottingham artists being put on the bill in other cities, we&#8217;re particularly chuffed about the later.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n&#8211; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Origamibiro\">ORIGAMIBIRO&#8217;s<\/a> <\/strong>Tom Hill is officially Dr Who&#8217;s favourite new composer!
