We love a good freebie at Nusic! From the minds at <\/a>I’m Not From London<\/a> & Little Wolf Parade<\/strong>, we bring you…. the music side of things at The Great Notts Show! An outrageously good\u00a0event this\u00a0Friday<\/strong>,\u00a0Saturday<\/strong> AND Sunday <\/strong>to celebrate all that is Great in Nottinghamshire\u2026food, drink, djs, arts, crafts and of course music all in aid of the Childrens Air Ambulance and Framework. Hosted in our very own market square, you’d have to have a pretty good reason to miss out on this event.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Boasting an absolutely mammoth lineup, this event will tickle the pickle of any music lover and caters too all your musical tastes. From the Americana twangs of\u00a0RYAN THOMAS<\/a> <\/strong>to the spellbinding sweetness of\u00a0ALICE MACLEOD<\/a>, <\/strong>from the incredible outrageousness of HALLOUMINATI <\/a><\/strong>to champion love spreader\u00a0JOSH WHEATLEY<\/a>,<\/strong> you already get a taster of what’s to offer and we’re not even half way through the lineup.<\/p>\n

There will also be an incredible\u00a0pop up art installation, a temporary \u2018home\u2019 for creatives from all backgrounds over the weekend of The Great Notts Show.<\/p>\n

Gifted with a lyrical prowess that would put hardened professionals to shame, ASHMORE<\/a><\/strong> is like Nottingham’s answer to Eminem<\/strong> if he joined forces with Plan B <\/strong>and spent some time experimenting with Gypsy Jazz. \u00a0For a lad who’s not even in his twenties, he’s already locked on to a winning formula that’s fresh, innovative and completely addictive. If it’s sweet serenity you’re after, the next act are for you. Finely crafting their music over time into a sound that is all of their own,\u00a0HHYNM<\/a><\/strong> have been showered with praise throughout the local music scene and are tipped as one of the best bands to go and see live.\u00a0So why not do so at this event?!<\/span><\/p>\n

Alternatively, it might be scuzzy punk you’re after.\u00a0Angry thrash punk rock that will undoubtedly have the room shaking from top to toe, this band are not for the faint hearted. Sure to get the party off to a raucous start,\u00a0WHITE FINGER<\/a><\/strong> \u2018look forward to smashing the shit out of you\u2019.<\/p>\n

A brand spanking new event next. From everyone’s favorite pork byproduct, HAM at The Brickworks this Friday<\/strong> will be bringing you an exciting night of live music \u00a0from four of the creme of the Notts alt bands crop.<\/p>\n

CHILDHOOD<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Formed in our fair ol’ city, CHILDHOOD<\/a><\/strong> will be headlining the night. Having toured with Palma Violets back in 2012, the four piece bring Brit Pop back with some nods to\u00a0\u00a0heady euphoria that wouldn’t sound out of place in 1969. Gleaming guitars, playful percussion and vocals that soar to almighty highs, CHILDHOOD<\/a> <\/strong>are the real deal.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

KAPPA GAMMA<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Easily one of our top up-and-coming bands next.\u00a0Signed to local label\u00a0Denizen Recordings<\/a><\/strong>, KAPPA GAMMA<\/a>‘s<\/strong> complex, disjointed rock has notched up a hoard of dedicated supporters as well as securing national radio play along the way. Pioneers of ‘geography rock’, their\u00a0beautiful music reaches as many sweeping highs as it does mellow spine-tingling lows. Delicious.<\/p>\n

KAGOULE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Easily one of the coolest bands we have going, Grunge prodigies KAGOULE<\/a><\/strong> are next. Their barrage of bass and harrowing vocals will leave you speechless, as you find yourself baring witness to three teenagers creating music that withers even the most hardened of gig goers. These guys are all kinds of good.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

London band Keebo<\/strong> & a DJ set from KIRK SPENCER<\/a><\/strong> complete the lineup.<\/p>\n
