To kick off our top three this week, we have Rebecca King\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> hand-picked lineup of great local talent at The Lacehouse<\/strong>. \u201cRebecca King & Friends<\/a><\/strong>\u201d promises a varied roster of artists, bands, songwriters and DJs to suit everybody\u2019s musical tastes.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For this weeks event expect catchy pop grooves from RUBY HILL<\/a><\/strong>, some sweet acoustic numbers from JOSH KEMP<\/a><\/strong>, while\u00a0Daudi Matsiko<\/a><\/strong> of High Hopes Society<\/a><\/strong> brings almost melancholic vibes to the proceedings. TASHA DEAN<\/a><\/strong> will get you dancing thanks to her infectious hooks, before REBECCA KING<\/a><\/strong> herself takes to the stage to round off the night with her soulful vocals.<\/p>\n

It’s all kicking off this week at The Chameleon<\/strong> this Friday with a quad load of acoustic Nottingham talent. The suitably named “Shut The F Up<\/a><\/strong>” returns with plenty of talent to help you unwind for the weekend.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

94 GUNSHIPS <\/a><\/strong>frontman WILL JEFFERY<\/a><\/strong> presents his cleverly crafted poems and tales with only a guitar to accompany them. THE STEADY SOUND<\/a><\/a><\/strong> bring their knack for a catchy melody to the stage, followed by Raj Baba<\/strong>, who will be bringing his unique brand of chilled, Political-Folk Reggae to the show. Finally we have ROBYN JOHNSON<\/a><\/strong> rounding up a night of great fresh Nottingham talent with her raspy vocals and tales of woe.<\/p>\n

There is a truckload of great talent waiting for you at this years Orange Fest<\/a><\/strong>! It\u2019s their 10th birthday celebration, so, they are pulling out all the stops. Nine great acts all coming together at The Orange Tree <\/strong>this Saturday\u00a0for one heck of a birthday bash! With an acoustic stage and electric stage to satisfy many musical tastes, everyone will find some Nottingham bred talent to take their fancy.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On the outdoor acoustic stage you will find some of our fine cities finest acts unplugged. The sultry acoustic tones of ALEXA HAWKSWORTH<\/a><\/strong> start the proceedings, followed by MATTHEW MOORE\u2019S<\/strong> Singer-Songwriter vibes. Bluesy folk from RYAN THOMAS<\/a><\/strong> sets the tone for KATRINA AND THE BEAR\u2019S<\/a><\/strong> dark tales of heartbreak. Next up is the band that inspired me to pursue music journalism,\u00a0CAPTAIN DANGEROUS<\/a><\/strong> return after a few months off, bringing their unique brand of Wonky-Pop to finish off the Acoustic Stage with a bang!<\/p>\n

SEA MONSTER EYES<\/a><\/strong> set the tone for the Electric Stage, before GREY HAIRS<\/a><\/strong> take to the stage and shake up your ear drums with their edgy grunge. Following, THE BARNUM MESERVE<\/a><\/strong> bring their epic mix of Pop\/Rock to the stage, before KAPPA GAMMA<\/a><\/strong> close the show with their edgy, nearly indefinable concoction of Indie Rock.<\/p>\n
