Kickstarting this week\u2019s Top Three<\/a><\/strong> is this year\u2019s Nottingham World Aids Day Charity Event<\/a>. <\/strong>This Wednesday at Nottingham Contemporary<\/strong> you will find\u00a0a sensational line up full of first-rate Nottingham musicians to please your ears!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

First up we have some Reggae-Funk fusion from BLESSING MAGORE<\/a><\/strong>, before an blissful assault of harmonies and grand arrangements from THE G.O.A CHOIR<\/a><\/strong>. Following we have the heavenly pop hooks of STEPHANIE HARGREAVES<\/a><\/strong>, the soothing acoustic vibes of JOY MUMFORD<\/a><\/strong> and to round off a great night the sublime melodies of I AM STARZ<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The event is free, but as this is a charity event there is a recommended donation of \u00a33. For such a great cause, and such an amazing lineup, that is absolutely nothing!<\/p>\n

Next up, we have the sweet whispery tones of NINA SMITH<\/a><\/strong> playing at the Rescue Rooms <\/strong>this Thursday. She\u2019s been away for a while, but after a sneaky secret gig at the Jam Cafe <\/strong>a few weeks back, she’s\u00a0now she\u2019s ready to astound Nottingham with her beautiful voice and knack for a bloody catchy melody.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

She\u2019s being supported by those familiar boys and girls in\u00a0THE G.O.A CHOIR<\/a><\/strong> whose big sounds will get you up and moving and shaking everything you’ve got, while the unique percussion of SABAR SOUNDSYSTEM<\/a> <\/strong>will get your feet tapping ready for NINA SMITH<\/a><\/strong> to take the stage! \u00a0It\u2019s bound to be one heck of a night, and a great opportunity to see one of Nottingham\u2019s rising stars before she hits the big time. It’s free as well, so come on down!<\/p>\n

To round off the Top Three<\/a><\/strong> this week, we\u2019ve got a truly awesome mash-up of charity events this Friday, featuring some great Nottingham artists!<\/p>\n

Fan favourite GEORGIE ROSE<\/strong> <\/a>certainly gets around a bit doesn\u2019t she? She\u2019ll be at both of these gigs, with only 2 hours between her performances. So, if you are a fan of the bluesy soulstress, make sure you get to both of these gigs.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The first of these gigs is All Fired Up<\/a><\/strong> at The Nottingham Contemporary<\/strong>. GEORGIE ROSE<\/a><\/strong> will be starting the proceedings before she gets her Nike\u2019s on and legs it to the other gig. Up next we have Three Minute Heist<\/strong> with their charismatic blues before SALMAGUNDI\u2019S<\/a><\/strong> clash of saucy sounds get you up and moving.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The second gig is Recovery Rocks<\/a><\/strong> at The Bodega<\/strong>, one great night of music to support one brilliant cause. Recovery Rocks brings together loads of Nottingham\u2019s top acts to support those recovering from alcohol addiction.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We have a great variation of artists on the lineup for this gig, everyone should find something to enjoy! We have John Lennon McCullagh<\/strong> bringing his youthful folk tales, REBECCA KING <\/a><\/strong> showing her beautiful soul-pop sensibilities and SLEEPING SOLDIER\u2019S<\/a><\/strong> atmospheric blues. MIGGY ANGEL<\/a><\/strong> will be expressing his profound spoken word before MARC REEVES\u2019<\/a> <\/strong>heartfelt folk warms your heart. As is the nature of the cause, this is an alcohol free event.<\/p>\n

Pop along to both, enjoy a night full of awesome music, and give a little back to the causes behind these brilliant events!<\/p>\n
