Kicking off our\u00a0Top Three<\/a><\/strong> this week we have an adrenaline fuelled night of rocking entertainment for you at\u00a0The Rescue Rooms<\/strong> this Wednesday.\u00a0You can expect not one, not two, not three, not even four, but five acts for one entry price.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We have some fast-paced melodic tunes from the awesomely named\u00a0DREADED MONKEY<\/a><\/strong>, some groovy Ska from recent\u00a0Podcast<\/a><\/strong> featurees\u00a0THE SILHOUETTES<\/a>,<\/strong> <\/strong>as well as some retro Indie-Rock grooves from the four lads in\u00a0THE SIGHTS<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Next up some bluesy face-melting Rock & Roll and megaphonic vocals from\u00a0THE FADE<\/a>,<\/strong> <\/strong>to understand what we mean make sure you check out their mental\u00a0Future Session<\/a><\/strong> with us.\u00a0HUNTING HELEN<\/a>,<\/strong> <\/strong>who cite both Jack Daniels and FIFA as influences to their sound, will then be taking to the stage to astound with their refined Acoustic Rock. They’ve had a lot of attention recently, so make sure to catch them before they hit the big time.<\/p>\n

Next up we\u2019ve got a varied mix of great local talent down at\u00a0Jam Cafe<\/strong> <\/strong>courtesy of\u00a0Farmyard<\/a><\/strong> on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Claire Schofield<\/strong> opens the night. Before\u00a0ESTHER VAN LEUVEN<\/a><\/strong> takes to the stage to showcase her beautiful Soul sound.\u00a0Following, we have the almost indescribable pop of\u00a0HONTIS<\/a>,<\/strong> but I’m gonna try! With influences as broad as Classical and Rockabilly, they\u2019re impossible to define, but also a must see act! We then have Nottingham’s talented and stunning supergroup\u00a0HEARTS<\/a><\/strong> <\/strong>who will be\u00a0\u00a0bringing their moving melodies and vintage sound to the stage. Finally we have Nottingham soulstress <\/strong>REBECCA KING<\/a>,<\/strong> <\/strong>after seeing her at both\u00a0The Bodega<\/strong> and\u00a0The Lacehouse<\/strong> over the past few weeks, I’ve been blown away by her\u00a0ridiculous vocal range, catchy choruses and slightly naughty lyrics.<\/p>\n

This Thursday we also have a folk themed evening for you, thanks to\u00a0Wire and Wool<\/a><\/strong> <\/strong>down at the\u00a0Golden Fleece<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

First up we have some heartfelt singer-songwriter vibes from the ridiculously talented\u00a0BEN HAYNES<\/a><\/strong> <\/strong>, followed by the youthful yet mature tones of\u00a0the retro-loving wonderboy\u00a0JAMES GOOCH<\/a><\/strong>. We will then have the beautiful\u00a0GEMMA INGLES<\/a><\/strong> who will add some angelic melodies to the proceedings. The night ends with <\/strong>EdwardAlice,<\/strong> <\/strong>and this rounds off our <\/strong>Top Three<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n
