It\u2019s that time of year again! We\u2019re sure you\u2019ve already had one too many Christmas parties and just want to sit at home and destroy that tin of Quality Streets, but, there\u2019s still some cracking gigs on over the next two weeks!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a rather quiet over this period, what with everyone celebrating Christmas and New Year, so we are putting together the next two weeks gigs into one Top Three<\/a><\/strong>!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n GIG ONE<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The king of late-night Soul clubs is coming back to it\u2019s birthplace! Sounddhism<\/a><\/strong> returns to The Bodega<\/a><\/strong> on the 28th to bring you out of your turkey stuffed caves, and back to the dancefloor!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n You\u2019ll have some Summer Reggae grooves from ORIGIN ONE<\/a><\/strong>, as well as some dark intellectual rhymes from CAPPO<\/a><\/strong>. GEORGIE ROSE<\/a><\/strong> and her band will be blowing you away with their beautiful, soulful compositions, while ILL CITIZEN<\/a><\/strong> will be bringing some chilled out Hip-Hop jams to the stage. HANNAH HEARTSHAPE<\/a><\/strong> is next up, bringing her Soul-soothing Jazz to the proceedings, before LOUIS SCOTT\u2019S<\/a><\/strong> hypnotic chilled-out tunes warm your heart.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n BEATMASTA BILL & STAR\u2019S<\/a><\/strong> American influenced rap will get you down to the dancefloor before some energetic Dance-Pop from AJA<\/a><\/strong> will get you movin\u2019 and groovin\u2019. Rounding off the night will be some happy Summer pop vibes from BUD<\/a><\/strong>, who you can expect to see in a Future Session<\/a><\/strong> come 2014!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n GIG TWO<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Maze<\/a><\/strong> and The Canalhouse<\/a><\/strong> are coming together to put on a massive NYE party at The Canalhouse, full of great local acts to ease in the New Year!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n You can expect a high-energy mashup of Folk, Punk and Rock from the boys in SEVEN LITTLE SISTERS<\/a><\/strong>, some hearty Pirate rock from the fellas in SEAS OF MIRTH<\/a><\/strong> and some high energy Balkan inspired dance from AISTAGUCA<\/a><\/strong>. FSN 2012<\/a><\/strong> winners THE AFTERDARK MOVEMENT<\/a><\/strong> will be bringing to the stage their big band hip-hop sound, while HEY QUADROPHONIC\u2019S<\/strong> sleazy Funk-soaked Rock will be tearing up the stage!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n ORIGIN ONE<\/a><\/strong> are back again with their dirty Electro-Reggae while Nottingham supergroup THE KILLER BEES<\/strong> finish off the night with plenty of grooves to get you dancing into the New Year.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n GIG THREE<\/strong><\/p>\n Rounding off our festive Top Three<\/a><\/strong> we have the I\u2019m Not From Brooklyn<\/a><\/strong> & NG64<\/a><\/strong> New Years Eve party!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Upstairs we\u2019ve got ASHMORE<\/a><\/strong> kicking off the night with his slick Reggae Hip-Hop rhymes, as well as some classic style Hip-Hop from the duo that is K-DEUCE & EARLYBIRD<\/a><\/strong>. We\u2019ll also have the Notts Hip-Hop legends that are THE PUNNING CLAN<\/a><\/strong>, back for their first show in a very long time!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Downstairs we\u2019ll have JUST JAMES\u2019<\/a><\/strong> smashing it with their huge basslines and funky vibes, before Professor Elemental<\/strong> from Brighton performs. Rounding off the night and our Top Three<\/a><\/strong> we have the potent Hip-Hop cocktail that is ILL CITIZEN<\/a><\/strong>. Their Jazzy, melodic grooves are bound to have you dancing all the way into the New Year!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Well there you have it! That should be enough to keep you happy between opening presents and toasting to the New Year.
