We could not start this weeks Top Three<\/a><\/strong> without pointing out that Nottingham\u2019s wonderboy JAKE BUGG<\/a><\/strong> is playing the BIGGEST<\/strong> headline gig by a Nottingham artist ever, at the Arena<\/a><\/strong> this Thursday; and we couldn\u2019t be more proud of him. THE SWIINES<\/a><\/strong> are supporting as well, so it’s a bit of a homegrown love fest at the arena. It\u2019s nearly sold-out<\/a>, so hurry up and get your tickets!

\nBelow you can find three other great gigs, that won\u2019t burn an arena sized hole in your pocket. This week has so many amazing gigs going off, it’s been hard to choose just three to recommend. We ended up picking a bit of a variety, so this week you\u2019ll find \u00a0the debut live show of one of Nottingham\u2019s hottest bands; a double-whammy EP launch party (with one hell of a line-up), and the last ever gig of one of Notts\u2019 most notorious bands.

\nGIG ONE<\/strong>
\n
\nHere\u2019s a gig a lot of you will have been waiting for. Farmyard\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> back at Jam Cafe<\/a><\/strong> this Friday; and they\u2019ve got a great line-up as per usual. This gig though, will be the debut show of the most voted for artist in our People\u2019s Podcast 2014<\/a><\/strong>, the phenomenal retro-poppers that are APRIL TOWERS<\/a><\/strong>.

\nYou can also expect some whismical paranoid pop from the boys in I AM LONO<\/a><\/strong>. They put on quite a mesmerising live performance, which has earned them plenty of acclaim through the Nottingham music scene. ALASKAN FACTION\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> catchy yet intricate Indie-Pop riffs will be rounding off the night, and believe us when we say, you’ll be humming those riffs for days to come!

\nGIG TWO<\/strong>
\n
\nREBECCA KING<\/a><\/strong> has finally gotten around to releasing a official EP to show off that incredible voice of hers; and to celebrate she\u2019s throwing a big party down at The Lacehouse<\/a><\/strong>. Expect to see the Nottingham soulstress dazzle the crowd with songs from her new EP “Unspoken Words<\/em>” as well as a few crowd favourites too.
\n
\nBut, this is not just Rebecca\u2019s EP launch, oh no! ASHMORE<\/a><\/strong> will also be releasing his new EP \u201cLoonyology<\/em>\u201d at this event too; so expect some great new Hip-Hop Soul from one of the best rappers on the scene.
\n
\nCHESHIRE & THE CAT<\/a><\/strong> will also be bringing an explosion of Jazzy charisma to the stage which is bound to get you dancing; whereas JAMIE MOON\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> beautiful Acoustic tunes are bound to leave the room silent with awe. The mysterious ALICE MACEY<\/strong>, will also be performing.

\nGIG THREE<\/strong>
\n
\nARSE FULL OF CHIPS<\/a><\/strong>, one of Nottingham\u2019s most well established bands, have sadly decided to call it a day. This is unfortunate news for the Nottingham music scene, as nothing fills us here at Nusic with more joy, than watching a bunch of lads sing about male genitalia in the buff.
\n
\nWe\u2019re not even gonna try and explain the kind of performance these guys put on, but considering it\u2019s their last ever gig, get on down to The Maze<\/a><\/strong> on Saturday and we\u2019re sure you\u2019ll have a right laugh!
\n
\nThere’ll also be support from that mental lot known as KICK THE RABBIT<\/a><\/strong>; if you haven’t seen our Future Session<\/a><\/strong> with them, then you are missing out! The equally crazy fellas in Monkish<\/strong> will also be performing.

\nPlus there\u2019s a free buffet. So, it\u2019s worth it either way!
