You can see the lineups and find more deets <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk\/riverside\">HERE<\/a><\/strong>.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nAs another week passes we&#8217;re graced with yet another amazing week for the Nottingham music scene. This week sees a huge birthday party celebration, an album launch show and the debut show of the rebrand band!<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<strong>GIG ONE<\/strong><br \/>\n<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Sounddhism?fref=ts\">Sounddhism<\/a><\/strong> turn four this weekend, and they\u2019re throwing one hell of a party down at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/bodeganotts?fref=ts\">The Bodega<\/a><\/strong> on Saturday to celebrate.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nThey\u2019ve got artists covering all genres to whet any musical appetite. Kicking us off we\u2019ll have the dirty Dub-Reggae sounds of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/OriginOneMusic?fref=ts\">ORIGIN ONE<\/a><\/strong> who are bound to have you skanking all over the place. They\u2019re built up of some of Nottingham\u2019s finest talent, and as a collective, these lot bring the sound that sweaty packed rooms were made for.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nSoulstress <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/NatalieDuncanOfficial?fref=ts\">NATALIE DUNCAN<\/a><\/strong> will be returning to Notts for her first hometown show since October last year. Known for her ridiculously soulful, distinctive voice, Natalie caught a lot of attention with her debut album \u201c<em>Devil In Me<\/em>\u201d back in 2012. Two years later, she\u2019s got a load of new material sorted (with a new EP on the way over the next few months) and we simply can\u2019t wait to see how she\u2019s grown.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nNext up we\u2019ve got one of Notts finest MC\u2019s, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/jed.coombstaylor?fref=ts\">CAN B<\/a><\/strong>. He just released his debut album \u201c<em>Don\u2019t Sleep<\/em>\u201d, and it\u2019s one of the finest pieces of Hip-Hop we\u2019ve heard in ages &#8211; it shows off Can\u2019s chilled flow, and knack for writing relevant and witty lyrics, something that we&#8217;re sure will translate well in his live performance.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/UJahm\/202100879906376?fref=ts\">UJAHM<\/a><\/strong> will be bringing the chilled out Reggae vibes &#8211; bouncy beats from Neckie, Chris and Kamrah compliment the sultry vocals that Shylaah delivers, to make something that wouldn\u2019t sound out of place on a Jamaican beach somewhere.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Bru-C-Official\/258642447535440?fref=ts\">BRU-C<\/a><\/strong> won\u2019t just be performing with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/OriginOneMusic?fref=ts\">ORGIN ONE<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; he\u2019ll be dropping some of his banging solo tunes too. With the ability to flip between grime, dancehall, dub and loads of other genres instantaneously, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Bru-C-Official\/258642447535440?fref=ts\">BRU-C<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s live sets are always quite something &#8211; and we guarantee he\u2019ll have you skanking all over the place!<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/josh-wheatley-sail-away-follow-the-smoke-future-session-5384\/\">JOSH WHEATLEY<\/a><\/strong> will bring a bit more of a chilled out vibe to the evening. Known for his soft Acoustic sounds; Josh tells a story with his songs, and if you\u2019re not already hooked in on the tales, his catchy hooks are sure to draw you in.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/alexxyoung?fref=ts\">MOTORMOUF<\/a><\/strong> will be bringing some of his incredible beatboxing talent to the night. Known round Notts for the incredible things that he can do with his mouth (don\u2019t take that the wrong way). Insightful bars mixed in with some incredibly creative beatboxing skill &#8211; he has to be seen to be believed.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<strong>STAN<\/strong> will be bringing some chilled Hip-Hop vibes to the night. With a relaxed flow, STAN owns pretty much every beat that\u2019s thrown at him, and we look forward to seeing him spit some of these bars in person!<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/chloecharlemagneartist?fref=ts\">CHLOE CHARLEMAGNE\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> funky R&#038;B sounds are bound to get everybody dancing like we\u2019re back in the 90s, in a good way. Full of groovy beats, and some ridiculously catchy hooks, Chloe sums up what we miss about proper R&#038;B.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RobynHughesJones?fref=ts\">ROBYN HUGHES-JONES<\/a><\/strong> is an absolutely stunning live performer, and ever since we heard \u201c<em>J\u2019adore<\/em>\u201d we\u2019ve been hooked. With a beautiful husky voice, and some very clever stories told in her songs, we\u2019re sure she\u2019ll have you entranced as well.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/yazmin.laceyphillips?fref=ts\">YAZMIN L<\/a><\/strong> will bring some proper Soulful vibes to the evening. With an incredible set of lungs, Yazmin is starting to make quite a name for herself with her powerful performances. She recently featured on one of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Trekkah\">TREKKAH\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> tracks, and it\u2019s HUGE, so check it out on the latest <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/category\/podcasts\/\">NMP<\/a><\/strong>, and make sure you catch here live here.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nRounding the Nottingham side of things off, we have the beautiful harmonies of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/molly-jack-hop-on-a-train-sea-of-slumber-future-session-64-95\/\">MOLLY &#038; JACK<\/a><\/strong>. The duo have a knack for making incredible catchy, sweet songs that\u2019ll have you going \u201caww\u201d, as well as have you shouting along at the top of your lungs. That\u2019s what we like!<br \/>\n<br \/>\nPrice: \u00a37<br \/>\nDoors: 3PM<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<strong>GIG TWO<\/strong><br \/>\n<br \/>\nThis Saturday sees <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/themadelinerust?fref=ts\">THE MADELINE RUST<\/a><\/strong> throw a party at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/The-Chameleon-Arts-Cafe-Nottingham\/195090847210354?fref=ts\">The Chameleon<\/a><\/strong> to celebrate the release of their new album \u201c<em>Truth or Consequences<\/em>.\u201d<br \/>\n<br \/>\nIf you\u2019re unfamiliar with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/themadelinerust?fref=ts\">THE MADELINE RUST<\/a><\/strong>, here\u2019s the lowdown &#8211; they\u2019re a Grunge-Rock band who fill their sound with distorted guitars, thrashing drums, and some bloody awesome female vocals. They sound quite unlike anything that we\u2019ve ever heard, and we can\u2019t wait to hear the entirety of \u201cTruth or Consequences\u201d live. You can also expect some special guest musicians to be helping out and a screening of their brand new music video! Not bad for nowt is it?<br \/>\n<br \/>\nPrice: Free<br \/>\nDoors: 7:30PM<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<strong>GIG THREE<\/strong><br \/>\n<br \/>\nThis Saturday sees <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/IVORYSERFS\">IVORYSERFS<\/a><\/strong> first gig at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/nottcontemporary?fref=ts\">Nottingham Contemporary<\/a><\/strong>, and it\u2019s shaping up to be quite a debut.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/IVORYSERFS?fref=ts\">IVORYSERFS<\/a><\/strong> is the band formerly known as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/future-session-08-great-british-weather\/\">GREAT BRITISH WEATHER<\/a><\/strong>, under what they deem to be a more suitable name. You know how some bands have such a unique sound that they\u2019re hard to describe? Yeah? Well, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/IVORYSERFS?fref=ts\">IVORYSERFS<\/a><\/strong> are one of those kind of bands &#8211; so we\u2019ll let the band describe themselves &#8211; \u201cPost-Shoe-Pysch-Gaze-Punk-Funk-Hip-Indie-Hop-Rock Elevator Music\u201d. Yeah, try and wrap your head around that one!<br \/>\n<br \/>\nIn support we have the absolutely stunning Ambient-Rock sounds of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/field-studies-i-am-become-death-blackbird-future-session-65-96\/\">FIELD STUDIES<\/a><\/strong>. If you saw them at the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/future-sound-of-nottingham\/\">FSN<\/a><\/strong> final, or have seen our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/field-studies-i-am-become-death-blackbird-future-session-65-96\/\">Future Session<\/a><\/strong> with them, you\u2019ll know that their stuff is shock the room into silence powerful.
