This week is absolutely ram packed, with an album launch gig, and two HUGE charity music festivals!<\/p>\n<p><strong>GIG ONE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Get your good selves down to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/nottcontemporary?fref=ts\">Contemporary<\/a><\/strong> this Saturday for an enchanting evening of unique World music thanks to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Muhaband?fref=ts\">MUHA<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>They\u2019ll be bringing the Eastern European vibes as they launch their latest album \u2018<em>Reka<\/em>\u2019, which translates as \u2018River\u2019 dontcha know. Influenced by the multicultural society in the UK the album and show will captivate you with a mix of languages over catchy grooves, North Indian Kathak rhythms and Cuban beats. Getcha self down for something truly special.<\/p>\n<p>Supporting <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Muhaband?fref=ts\">MUHA\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> launch is guitar extraordinaire <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Simon-Jackson-Guitarist-Teacher\/1387714341501988?fref=ts\">SIMON JACKSON<\/a><\/strong> who will be playing eclectic instrumentals of Flamenco and English Folk. Something a bit different for ya, we\u2019re sure that Simon will set the tone just right for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Muhaband?fref=ts\">MUHA\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> eclectic sounds!<\/p>\n<p>Price: FREE<br \/>\nDoors: 8pm<\/p>\n<p><strong>GIG TWO<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>This Saturday <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/oxjambeestontakeover?fref=ts\">OXJAM<\/a><\/strong> takes over Beeston with over seventy artists performing across twelve venues and fourteen stages within in the heart of Beeston. Oh, and it\u2019s all in the name of charity.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s too many acts for us to go into detail, but there really is something for everyone at the festival. Having a little look over the lineup (which can be found <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oxjambeestontakeover.org\/\">HERE<\/a><\/strong>), we can see everything from Sea-Shanty Rock to Garage Rock, beautiful Acoustic harmonies to some fine Spoken Word, huge Soul vocals to some gruff, raw Punky vocals. <\/p>\n<p>The festival as you may have gathered from the name, is all in aid of Oxfam, and their fight to end poverty worldwide. Take a look at our preview article <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/hockley-hustle-2014-a-preview\/\">HERE <\/a><\/strong>if you want a run down on the main stages and what it\u2019s all about. Here, we thought we\u2019d give you a little look at some of the more eclectic stages,and ones that haven\u2019t been featured in the Hustle before. <\/p>\n<p>Over at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/bambuu?fref=ts\">Bambuu<\/a><\/strong>, you\u2019ll find <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/BROUHAHAnotts?fref=ts\">Brouhahaha <\/a><\/strong>taking over proceedings, and bringing a bit of the insane and wonderful to the Hustle. They\u2019ve got both upstairs and downstairs too! Downstairs they\u2019ve got <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Swing-gitan-uk\/459284020847745?fref=ts\">SWING GITAN<\/a><\/strong> kicking things off with Gypsy Jazz stylings, followed by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/goneandlostit?fref=ts\">GONE AND LOST IT<\/a><\/strong> who\u2019ll be bringing their Punky Ska sounds. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Jimmythesquirrelband?fref=ts\">JIMMY THE SQUIRREL<\/a><\/strong> is up next with their Reggaefied Folk before <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hallouminati?fref=ts\">HALLOUMINATI <\/a><\/strong>bring their mental self-proclaimed \u201cGypsyElectroSkaBalkanGreekPunk Mashup\u201d. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/94Gunships?fref=ts\">94 GUNSHIPS<\/a><\/strong> keep things going with their in your face gruff Blues, and that\u2019s all before <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/UJahm\/202100879906376?fref=ts\">UJAHM<\/a><\/strong> round off the night with their sweet Reggae sounds.<\/p>\n<p>Downstairs at <strong>Bambuu <\/strong>we\u2019ll have <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/dhlawrenceandthevaudevilleskiffleshow?fref=ts\">DH LAWERENCE AND THE VAUDEVILLE SKIFFLE SHOW<\/a><\/strong> kicking things off with a bit of Americana, followed by some catchy Jazz tinged Funk Soul from <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockleyhustle.co.uk\/artists\/hey-quadraphonic\/\">HEY QUADROPHONIC<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/underthetreenottingham?fref=ts\">Under The Tree<\/a><\/strong> have gone and took over that Bugsy Malone esque venue known as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/boilermakerbar?fref=ts\">Boilermaker<\/a><\/strong> for a day full of Acoustic goodness. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/alexheluk?fref=ts\">ALEX HEL<\/a><\/strong> kicks things off with his furious Acoustic strumming style and knack for telling a hilarious story. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/josh-wheatley-sail-away-follow-the-smoke-future-session-5384\/\">JOSH WHEATLEY<\/a><\/strong> follows with his softly sweet Folk sounds before <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/jamiemoonmusic?fref=ts\">JAMIE MOON<\/a><\/strong> delicately picks away at your heart with his lovely sounds. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/anwynwilliamsmusic?fref=ts\">ANWYN WILLIAMS<\/a><\/strong> takes to the stage next with her <strong>Joni Mitchell<\/strong>-esque Folk, before <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/AdamPeterSmithMusic?fref=ts\">ADAM PETER SMITH<\/a><\/strong> brings his well refined Pop-Folk sounds. Newbies to the Notts scene, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/VeraGullUK?fref=ts\">VERA GULL<\/a><\/strong> will be bringing some sweet Americana stylings to the stage, while <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/molly-jack-hop-on-a-train-sea-of-slumber-future-session-64-95\/\">MOLLY &#038; JACK<\/a><\/strong> will stun with some of the most beautiful Pop harmonies you\u2019ll find in the city. That familiar lady <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RobynHughesJones?fref=ts\">ROBYN HUGHES-JONES<\/a><\/strong> will be delivering some incredibly Soulful vocals, while <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/thatbandtwelve?fref=ts\">TWELVE<\/a><\/strong> will bring some pure Indie-Pop goodness!&#8221; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/tomashofficial?fref=ts\">TOM ASH<\/a><\/strong> follows with his ace uplifting Pop-Folk sounds, before <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/future-session-45-75-%e2%80%93-sam-jones-in-the-cold-cold-ground-steve-mcqueen\/\">SAM JONES<\/a> &#038; THE LOCAL FOLK<\/strong> round the night off with some big-band Folk with plenty of singalongs and banter. Gotta love the banter.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/revolution.hockley?fref=ts\">Revolution<\/a><\/strong> is getting took over by <strong>Local Motive Radio<\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/dontflop?fref=ts\">Don\u2019t Flop<\/a><\/strong>. Which means plenty of Hip-Hop talent and one huge main event. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Bru-C-Official\/258642447535440?fref=ts\">BRU-C<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Youthoracle-aka-Vandull\/160573990672810?fref=ts\">YOUTHORACLE<\/a><\/strong> will rap battle for the Hustle Cup, a title which brings a \u00a31000 prize to a charity of the winner\u2019s choice, this will be BIG! This stage is defo a heavy hitter!<\/p>\n<p>That fancy new pizza and ping pong place <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/daskinonotts?fref=ts\">Das Kino<\/a><\/strong> plays host to a day full of Jazztastic\u2026 well Jazz! <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/MeMrJones?fref=ts\">ME &#038; MR JONES<\/a><\/strong> kick things off with some lovely Jazz Pop sounds, before the brilliantly named <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TheFabulousTeaBagBoys?fref=ts\">FABULOUS TEA BAG BOYS<\/a><\/strong> bring some self-proclaimed \u201cgood time prohibition Jazz.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ed.marchewicz?ref=ts&#038;fref=ts\">ED MARCHEWICZ<\/a><\/strong> follows with some beautiful little ditties played on his saxophone and flute, before <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/jeaniebartonofficial?ref=ts&#038;fref=ts\">JEANIE BARTON<\/a><\/strong> brings some stylish classic Jazz sounds. The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/1450615098561195\/?fref=ts\">BEN MARTIN QUARTET<\/a><\/strong> will deliver some eclectic Jazz stylings before a load of the acts who have performed throughout the day all get up on stage and have a crazy Jazz jam session. It should be dead good. <\/p>\n<p>The amazing home of burgers known as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/anniesburgershack?fref=ts\">Annie\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> will be playing host to a right mish mash of ace Notts musicians. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/chez-Chez\/118623674864070?fref=ts\">CHEZ CHEZ<\/a><\/strong> kicks things off with some jangly Pop sounds, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/AjayHenryMusic?fref=ts\">AJAY HENRY<\/a><\/strong> follows with some pure Soulful Pop styling, before <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TylerNugentMusic?fref=ts\">TYLER NUGENT<\/a><\/strong> brings some beautiful Folky Pop. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/angelsinthearchitecture?fref=ts\">ANGELS IN THE ARCHITECTURE<\/a><\/strong> are bound to get you up and dancing with their Electronic Soul Pop, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/thebreakdownsband?fref=ts\">THE BREAKDOWNS<\/a><\/strong> will then turn things up a bit with their Garage Rock stylings. If you\u2019re easily offended, you probably shouldn\u2019t stick around for the beautiful filth of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/thecensorpenguins?fref=ts\">THE CENSOR PENGUINS<\/a><\/strong>, but if you like your catchy Indie Rock melodies you should definitely catch <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/VanityBoxRock?fref=ts\">VANITY BOX<\/a><\/strong>.
