This week sees an EP launch, a musical tea party and a rather eclectic gig!<\/p>\n<p><strong>GIG ONE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Following a bunch of top notch acts to grace the stage at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/bodeganotts?fref=ts\">The Bodega<\/a><\/strong>. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/josh-kemp-%E2%80%93-first-and-last-hangover-song-future-session-51-82\/\">JOSH KEMP<\/a><\/strong> is next in line to do a headline show this Friday, releasing his latest EP &#8220;<em>Chatterbox<\/em>.&#8221; With some ace support acts be prepared for an evening of happy upbeat tunes and Josh\u2019s charming\u2026 well, charm, as he takes you on a musical journey of catchy hook lines, quirky lyrics all combined with his unique use of live looping. If that isn\u2019t enough for you the launch is also Josh\u2019s birthday too, so they\u2019ll be party vibes all around!<\/p>\n<p>Opening the evening we have the lovely sounds of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/molly-jack-hop-on-a-train-sea-of-slumber-future-session-64-95\/\">MOLLY &amp; JACK<\/a><\/strong>. Bringing you a fusion of jazzy chords, catchy melodies and some of the most beautiful, crystal-clear harmonies we\u2019ve ever heard.. Expect some serious Acoustic bliss for the soul.<\/p>\n<p>Following we have the lively Pop Rock of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/future-sound-of-nottingham\/\">FSN 2014<\/a><\/strong> finalists <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TheRascels?fref=ts\">THE RASCELS<\/a><\/strong> who are bound to get you going crazy with your air guitar!. Expect some classic Summer Pop anthems to warm you up and that might just remind you of Pop at it\u2019s early 2000s peak!. They\u2019ve got plenty of new tunes to play off their new EP \u201c<em>This Is<\/em>\u201d&#8230; as in \u201cThis Is The Rascels\u201d&#8230; get it? We see what they did there\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>Price: \u00a33 ADV\/ \u00a35 OTD<br \/>\nDoors: 7pm<\/p>\n<p><strong>GIG TWO <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Playing his first headline show in Nottingham since 2008, this Saturday <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/nottcontemporary?fref=ts\">Nottingham Contemporary<\/a><\/strong> will be hosting a fine evening of music known as a \u2018peace love and tea party\u2019 as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/matthenshaw?fref=ts\">MATT HENSHAW<\/a><\/strong> returns. The tea loving music man does not limit himself to one genre, bringing an eclectic mash up of Psychedelic Blues and Rock&#8217;n&#8217;Roll with his band <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SatsumaElephants?fref=ts\">SATSUMA ELEPHANTS<\/a><\/strong>. He will be doing what he does best, bringing an eclectic set of uplifting soulful stylings. And tea, lots of tea.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019ll be support from some very familiar faces too. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/josh-wheatley-sail-away-follow-the-smoke-future-session-5384\/\">JOSH WHEATLEY<\/a><\/strong> will be bringing some of his lovely soft Folk sounds. After what has already been an incredible year with the release his debut EP &#8220;<em>Follow The Smoke<\/em>&#8221; way back in January and a successful headline show at <strong>The Bodega<\/strong>, we\u2019re sure this will just top it all off. We\u2019ve heard \u201cfollow the schmooke, follow the schmoke\u201d plenty of times now, and it\u2019s so catchy, we\u2019re still looking for it, but we just keep ending up outside in the cold\u2026 Josh?<\/p>\n<p>Also supporting is beatbox extraordinaire and general hype man of Nottingham <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/alexxyoung?fref=ts\">MOTORMOUF<\/a><\/strong>, who you may also have scene fronting the Sci-FI Rock \u2018N\u2019 Roll band <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/future-session-07-just-james\/\">JUST JAMES<\/a><\/strong>. One of the most hardworking musicians in Notts <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/alexxyoung?fref=ts\">MOTORMOUF<\/a><\/strong> is always collaborating with local talents. This Saturday you can catch him doing a classic solo set. Now experimenting with a loop pedal this is sure to be a unique new addition to a show that should not be missed!<\/p>\n<p>Price: FREE ENTRY<br \/>\nDoors: 8pm<\/p>\n<p><strong>GIG THREE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Also cracking off this weekend is an awesome gig at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/The-Chameleon-Arts-Cafe-Nottingham\/195090847210354?fref=ts\">The Chameleon<\/a><\/strong> hosted by Pop duo <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/future-session-34-64-i-am-lono\/\">I AM LONO<\/a><\/strong> the pioneers of \u201cClaustrophobic, Pounding, Paranoid Pop music gold.\u201d For just the small fee of 4 quid you can get your groove on this Sunday to some jiving bass hooks, catchy choruses and synth paradise. There really is nothing quite like them in Notts, so do not miss out!<\/p>\n<p>If you like having your face ripped off by some epic heavyness (in a good way of course), then you\u2019re gonna absolutely love <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/mannequinfo?fref=ts\">MANNEQUIN<\/a><\/strong>.
