Some incredible Nottingham acts will be hitting those musical sweet spots like pigeons to windows. First up there\u2019s a Nottingham artist HEADLINING RC main stage, a <strong><a href=\"\">Prisma<\/a><\/strong> take over EP launch, and following that, a pretty special album launch.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GIG ONE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yep, you read correctly: <strong><a href=\"\">INDIANA<\/a><\/strong> will be HEADLINING <strong>Rock City<\/strong> as the last stop on her UK tour! To come back home and headline the main stage of Nottingham\u2019s biggest and beloved gig venue is an incredibly moving achievement that every Notts act dreams of, and our very own Indi is now going to do it. She&#8217;ll be playing a load of tunes from her debut album &#8220;<em>No Romeo<\/em>&#8220;, which is a haunting, captivating assortment of touching ballads intertwined with catchy Pop songs that give you the chance to shake what your mama gave you (I did hear that you could also awkwardly shuffle what your dad gave you, but it\u2019s statistically not as effective). She\u2019ll obviously be playing the sultry, catchy electro-pop single that hurled her into the Top 20 last year, \u2018<em>Solo Dancing<\/em>\u2019. Expect a very special night\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rock City<\/strong><br \/>\n29th May<br \/>\nDoors: 18:30<br \/>\nTickets: \u00a312:50 ADV<\/p>\n<p><strong>GIG TWO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"\">THE MITHERED<\/a><\/strong> will be launching their EP \u2018<em>Counsil<\/em>\u2019 this Friday, with a little help from the guys at <strong>Prisma Clothing<\/strong>. This traditional Indie Rock four-piece offer unforgettable muted guitar riffs and Pop sensibility, with clear mid-90s Indie influences such as <strong>Oasis<\/strong> and <strong>The Libertines<\/strong>; Infectious choruses and catchy hooks galore! This will be their biggest headline show yet, and we hear tickets are running out fast, so get it before you regret it, yo.<\/p>\n<p>First support will be feel-good foursome <strong><a href=\"\">THREE GIRL RHUMBA<\/a><\/strong>, who are a band known for their high energy performances and catchy Indie-inclined songs. They also really like lemons.  So have that. \u2018Hucknallians\u2019 <strong><a href=\"\">CONNOR SPRAY &#038; THE INDIABEES<\/a><\/strong> will be up next, who are a four-piece band taking a little break from recording their EP this month to give you some  auditory delectableness in the form of good ol\u2019 Rock \u2018n\u2019 Roll. Third support for the night is <strong><a href=\"\">THE TANGENTS<\/a><\/strong>, who provide \u2018mad Indie to go mad to\u2019, and I can see what they mean: fast paced verses; catchy choruses; riffs smoother than your naked chin. It\u2019s a recipe for dancing disguised as disastrous arm flailing. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Spanky Van Dykes<\/strong><br \/>\n29th May<br \/>\nDoors: 18:30<br \/>\nTickets: \u00a35<\/p>\n<p><strong>GIG THREE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lastly, it\u2019s the <strong><a href=\"\">LACEY<\/a><\/strong> album launch show. These guys are a brilliantly accomplished unsigned Pop Rock quartet, and listening to them makes it hard to believe they\u2019re yet to belong to a record label. With attention coming from the likes of <strong><a href=\"\">Kerrang<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"\">Scuzz<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"\">LACEY<\/a><\/strong> have made a name for themselves outside of label management; getting crowd funding for their album \u2018<em>Under the Brightest Lights<\/em>\u2019 directly from their fans. This gig is a special unveiling of said album, which has already been reviewed by Drew Heatley (<strong><a href=\"\">Gigwise<\/a><\/strong>) who adds bubbles to the broth of excitement for what\u2019s to come: <\/p>\n<p>\u2018<em>The album bursts into life with lead single \u2018Tonight\u2019 \u2013 it feels like a coming of age. It\u2019s an anthem in every sense of the word; the boys show they\u2019re here to stay as they sing: \u201cWe said we won&#8217;t wait any longer<\/em>\u201d.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Expect to hear the album performed from start to finish, for one time only. It\u2019d be a crime to miss. <\/p>\n<p>Supporting first will be <strong><a href=\"\">CUT THE HEROICS<\/a><\/strong>, who epitomise everything you miss about good old fashion Pop Punk. They\u2019re a 90s style PP trio who possess fast paced rhythmic guitars and punchy chords with honest, no BS lyrics. Think of a modern day <strong>Jimmy Eat World<\/strong> and <strong>Blink 182<\/strong>. <strong><a href=\"\">SAM JONES<\/a><\/strong> will follow; Mansfield\u2019s answer to raw, Bluesy sounds not dissimilar to <strong>Frank Turner<\/strong>. With inspiration coming from the likes of <strong>Johnny Cash<\/strong>, you can expect to hear honest lyrics; deep, haunting guitar work; and unrestraint passion. The final support of the evening will be <strong><a href=\"\">NO DISCO<\/a><\/strong>, who are an edgy Indie Rock trio signed to <strong><a href=\"\">Sound Hub Records<\/a><\/strong>.
