A show dedicated to all things Notts with  forty odd Notts acts, a Dream-Pop headline show and the return of one of Notts\u2019 finest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GIG ONE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"\">I\u2019m Not From London<\/a><\/strong> are in charge of all things music at the Great Notts Show this week (big up to them for smashing their Kickstarter goal btw!) with nearly forty (trust me, I counted. Twice.) Notts acts to fill your ears across four days.<\/p>\n<p>Everything kicks off on Thursday with a couple of acoustic sets from some very talented vocalists you need to check out. But things don\u2019t stay quite so chilled for long with loads of huge acts on the line up. <strong><a href=\"\">HOTBOX<\/a><\/strong> are definitely ones to check out, make sure you keep an eye out for their upcoming future session. Headlining the Thursday are <strong><a href=\"\">THE AFTER DARK MOVEMENT<\/a><\/strong>. They\u2019ll be bringing some big-band Hip-Hop sounds to the evening that\u2019ll make you want to dance (and probably make you look a bit stupid if you dance anything like me).<\/p>\n<p>Friday sees tons more acts to the stage including <strong><a href=\"\">CONNOR SPRAY AND THE INDIABEES<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"\">LAUREN APRIL<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"\">SAME STREETS<\/a><\/strong>. But taking the headline slot, <strong><a href=\"\">UNKNOWN ERA<\/a><\/strong> will be bringing a huge mashup of genres including Hip Hop, Reggae and Ska. The nine piece have recently raised \u00a31,400 from their Kickstarter campaign so they can start recording their debut EP. With all those bodies on stage they\u2019re sure to put on a euphoric performance.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"\">ROYSTON DUXFORD<\/a><\/strong> are headlining the Saturday stage bringing \u201cDirty Country Rock\u2019n\u2019Roll.\u201d With a husky country twang the band tell the stories of Motor Racing Legend Royston Duxford. Other acts include Gypsy Pop Rockers <strong><a href=\"\">BIG RHINO<\/a><\/strong>, \u201cBombastic off-kilter blues dance rock\u201d <strong><a href=\"\">ULYSSES STORM<\/a><\/strong> and all girl Alternative Rockers (with a thrown in bit of grunge) <strong><a href=\"\">BABE PUNCH<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Things start to wind down on Sunday with slightly fewer acts, just to make sure you\u2019re not totally full of PCD on Monday. <strong><a href=\"\">THE DAMN HEAVY<\/a><\/strong> will be headlining. With influences including <strong>Led Zeppelin<\/strong> and <strong>Jimmy Hendrix<\/strong> it\u2019s no surprise these lot have some damn heavy guitar riffs (see what I did there). You can also catch <strong><a href=\"\">94 GUNSHIPS<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"\">THE GOLDEN TROUBADOURS<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"\">THE IDOLINS<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"\">JAMIE MOON<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Check out the full line up <strong><a href=\"\">HERE<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Old Market Square<\/strong><br \/>\n24th &#8211; 27th September<br \/>\nDoors: Acts start at 11am<br \/>\nTickets: FREE<\/p>\n<p><strong>GIG TWO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"\">LORNA<\/a><\/strong> will be headlining the <strong><a href=\"\">Jamcafe<\/a> <\/strong>this Thursday. The Dream Pop six-piece released their fifth album \u2018<em>London\u2019s Leaving Me<\/em>\u2019 at the start of last month and will be showcasing their unearthly melodies and vocal.<\/p>\n<p>Support comes from <strong><a href=\"\">CECILLE GREY<\/a><\/strong>, the Alternative Pop group have strong Folk and Indie influences that really come through in their sound. Giving captivating performances with finger-picked guitars and vocal to rival <strong>Kate Bush<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"\">CECILLE GREY<\/a><\/strong> are definitely ones to catch.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FELIX MB<\/strong> from Derby will also be supporting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jamcaf\u00e9<\/strong><br \/>\nThursday 24th September<br \/>\nDoors: 9pm<br \/>\nTickets: FREE<\/p>\n<p><strong>GIG THREE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"\">D.I.D<\/a><\/strong> are putting on a lil show at <strong><a href=\"\">Rough Trade<\/a><\/strong> following the release of their new and pretty bloody good \u2018<em>Fast Food<\/em>\u2019 EP on Friday.  Buy the 10\u201d EP at <strong>Rough Trade<\/strong> and you&#8217;ll get a swanky (okay, not so swanky) wristband that&#8217;ll get you in. The West Bridgford five piece, who certainly aren\u2019t new to the whole gigging malarkey, have got plenty of huge new pop tunes to fire your way.
