It\u2019s a nice and chilled out one this week. You can have a bit of a charitable jam at Rough Trade<\/a><\/strong>, sip some Bourbon and listen to a bit of Blues at The Orange Tree<\/a><\/strong> and space things out with some Groovacious Rock at The Lofthouse<\/a><\/strong>. Well, partially chilled out anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n

GIG ONE<\/b><\/p>\n

After a buzzing weekend in Beeston,\u00a0Oxjam<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0returns on Monday with three Notts acts taking to the stage at <\/span>Rough Trade<\/b>. The event is part of a nation-wide festival taking place throughout the month in aid of Oxfam, helping to prevent poverty and suffering across the world. So you get to listen to a load of great music for an amazing cause, what more could you ask for?<\/span><\/p>\n

First up, Indie Pop singer <\/span>BILLIE<\/a><\/b> will be taking to the stage, taking influences from <\/span>Daughter <\/b>and <\/span>Halsey<\/b>. The seventeen year-old\u2019s moving songwriting and<\/span> poignant<\/span> vocal are perfect for a chilled Monday night to help you recover from a long day at work (or the weekend, if you\u2019re still not over that).<\/span><\/p>\n

SAM BEETON<\/a><\/b> is the headliner of the night. After supporting acts including <\/span>The Script<\/b> and <\/span>James Morrison<\/b> a few years back, it\u2019s fair to say this guy has more than his fair share of talent (and good looks. He\u2019s modelled for bloody Burberry). Sam\u2019s beautifully mellow voice paired with his acoustic guitar, along with his emotive songwriting make for a whole load of loveliness. <\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s also some spoken work from Notts poet Miggy Angel<\/strong><\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n

GIG TWO<\/b><\/p>\n

I\u2019m Not From London<\/strong><\/a> and The Orange Tree<\/strong> are bringing us another Bourbon and Blues night. The music from this lot will transport you to the other side of the Atlantic.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first act of the night is <\/span>PAUL NOSE<\/a><\/b>, Italian singer-songwriter who has settled down in Notts. Paul tells stories through his Post-<\/span>Psychedelic<\/span> Blues about everything from his own life to fantasy worlds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Next up is RYAN FARMER<\/a><\/strong>, bringing Nottingham\u2019s finest Americana Blues. Ryan\u2019s modern take on the traditional genre sounds like it was written to sip bourbon to. His distinctive deep gravelly voice and gorgeous guitar brings hints of Folk to his Americana sound.<\/p>\n

The final act of the night are <\/span>THE DAMN HEAVY<\/a><\/b>, who will be bringing some proper rowdy Blues that takes influence from Punk, Garage and Soul. With some rough yet refined riffs and soulful vocals, they create a head-nodding, charisma filled performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

GIG THREE<\/b><\/p>\n

I\u2019m Not From London<\/b> are bringing us a second great gig this week over at <\/span>The Lofthouse<\/b>. The gig will be streamed over on <\/span>NG:Digital<\/a><\/b>, so you can relive your experience of the evening.<\/span><\/p>\n

Headliners of the night will be <\/span>SUNSET NEBULA<\/a><\/b>, the trio features members from <\/span>BAYBO SQUABO<\/a><\/b> and <\/span>LEO AND THE SERAPHIM<\/a> <\/b>who come together to create \u2018Groovacious Space Rock.\u2019 The band\u2019s galactical, refined sound created from tight basslines and piercing guitars create an outer-worldly experience. If you\u2019re after some great music and some space-related facts you should check these guys out.<\/span><\/p>\n

Support comes from Punk Rock four piece <\/span>DIABLOFURS<\/a><\/b>. The Carlton based lot bring a modern Pop style to Punk Rock to create catchy, energetic sounds. They put on a real euphoric performance as well as really looking the part.<\/span><\/p>\n

Little Whores On The Prairie<\/b> from <\/span>Derby <\/b>and<\/span> La B\u00eate Blooms\u00a0<\/b>from Hull will also be performing.<\/span><\/p>\n
