You can have a bit of a charitable jam at <strong><a href=\"\">Rough Trade<\/a><\/strong>, sip some Bourbon and listen to a bit of Blues at <strong><a href=\"\">The Orange Tree<\/a><\/strong> and space things out with some Groovacious Rock at <strong><a href=\"\">The Lofthouse<\/a><\/strong>. Well, partially chilled out anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>GIG ONE<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After a buzzing weekend in Beeston,<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"\">Oxjam<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0returns on Monday with three Notts acts taking to the stage at <\/span><b>Rough Trade<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The event is part of a nation-wide festival taking place throughout the month in aid of Oxfam, helping to prevent poverty and suffering across the world. So you get to listen to a load of great music for an amazing cause, what more could you ask for?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First up, Indie Pop singer <\/span><b><a href=\"\">BILLIE<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be taking to the stage, taking influences from <\/span><b>Daughter <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>Halsey<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The seventeen year-old\u2019s moving songwriting and<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">poignant<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">vocal are perfect for a chilled Monday night to help you recover from a long day at work (or the weekend, if you\u2019re still not over that).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">SAM BEETON<\/a><\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is the headliner of the night. After supporting acts including <\/span><b>The Script<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>James Morrison<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a few years back, it\u2019s fair to say this guy has more than his fair share of talent (and good looks. He\u2019s modelled for bloody Burberry). Sam\u2019s beautifully mellow voice paired with his acoustic guitar, along with his emotive songwriting make for a whole load of loveliness. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There\u2019s also some spoken work from Notts poet <strong>Miggy Angel<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Rough Trade<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monday 19th October<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 7pm<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tickets: Donations OTD<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>GIG TWO<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"\"><strong>I\u2019m Not From London<\/strong><\/a> and <strong>The Orange Tree<\/strong> are bringing us another Bourbon and Blues night. The music from this lot will transport you to the other side of the Atlantic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first act of the night is <\/span><b><a href=\"\">PAUL NOSE<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Italian singer-songwriter who has settled down in Notts. Paul tells stories through his Post-<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Psychedelic<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Blues about everything from his own life to fantasy worlds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Next up is <strong><a href=\"\">RYAN FARMER<\/a><\/strong>, bringing Nottingham\u2019s finest Americana Blues. Ryan\u2019s modern take on the traditional genre sounds like it was written to sip bourbon to. His distinctive deep gravelly voice and gorgeous guitar brings hints of Folk to his Americana sound.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The final act of the night are <\/span><b><a href=\"\">THE DAMN HEAVY<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, who will be bringing some proper rowdy Blues that takes influence from Punk, Garage and Soul. With some rough yet refined riffs and soulful vocals, they create a head-nodding, charisma filled performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Orange Tree<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wednesday 21st October<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 8pm<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tickets: FREE<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>GIG THREE<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>I\u2019m Not From London<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are bringing us a second great gig this week over at <\/span><b>The Lofthouse<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The gig will be streamed over on <\/span><b><a href=\"\">NG:Digital<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, so you can relive your experience of the evening.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Headliners of the night will be <\/span><b><a href=\"\">SUNSET NEBULA<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the trio features members from <\/span><b><a href=\"\">BAYBO SQUABO<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b><a href=\"\">LEO AND THE SERAPHIM<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">who come together to create \u2018Groovacious Space Rock.\u2019 The band\u2019s galactical, refined sound created from tight basslines and piercing guitars create an outer-worldly experience. If you\u2019re after some great music and some space-related facts you should check these guys out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support comes from Punk Rock four piece <\/span><b><a href=\"\">DIABLOFURS<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The Carlton based lot bring a modern Pop style to Punk Rock to create catchy, energetic sounds.
