There\u2019s a Grime event for 11-17 year olds at the <strong><a href=\"\">Hillview Community Centre<\/a>,<\/strong> a headline show filled with harmonies at <strong><a href=\"\">The Bodega<\/a><\/strong> and an Americana Blues EP Launch at <a href=\"\"><strong>Rough Trade<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>GIG ONE<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <strong>Hillview Community Centre<\/strong> have rounded up some of the best names in the Nottingham Grime scene so you can get some advice from the artists. The event is for 11-17 year olds to help inspire them and potentially bring some more great Grime names out of the city. These lot are really putting Nottingham on the map in the world of Grime. On the night you\u2019ll be able to catch <\/span><b><a href=\"\">MEZ<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> who released his \u2018<em>28 EP<\/em>\u2019 back in May. He\u2019ll be bringing along <\/span><b><a href=\"\">SNOWY<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">who features on <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>MEZ<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"\">\u2019s<\/a> EP on the song \u2018<em>Nottingham Crew 1-2<\/em>\u2019 and has worked with him on loads of other tracks as well on his own. <\/span><b><a href=\"\">DDOT <\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">has worked with tons of Grime artists over the past few years, and developed a slick flow of his own (as showcased on latest single \u2018<em>#Leicester2Nottingham<\/em>.\u2019)\u00a0<\/span><b><a href=\"\">YOUNG T &amp; BUGSY<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">released their mixtape \u2018<em>Jumpman<\/em>\u2019 at the start of October and have clocked up nearly 100,000 views on YouTube. Bigging up the Notts area code, <\/span><b><a href=\"\">0115 MOB<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be playing at the event. And finally <\/span><b><a href=\"\">ASSEZ CREW<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will be there. They may have some of the youngest members but, trust me, they have just as much talent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Hillview Community Centre<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tuesday 17th November<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 5PM<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tickets:\u00a0Free<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>GIG TWO<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">THESE YOUR CHILDREN<\/a> <\/b>(formerly known as <strong>NOAH<\/strong>)<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0are headlining <\/span><b>The Bodega<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on Wednesday. The duo made up of Rebekah and Joe released their debut EP \u2018<em>Fires<\/em>\u2019 last week after a what felt like a very long time, but it was oh so worth it. Creating beautiful, soothing harmonies with voices that complement each other better than fish and chips. Layering their incredible voices, that sound just as beautiful individually as they do together, all over Acoustic Folk with relatable songwriting. They\u2019ll be releasing their debut video for \u2018<em>Set A Fire<\/em>\u2019 next week, so keep an eye out for that if you want a teaser of what to expect.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">JOEL BAKER<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will be supporting. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Taking influence from Hip Hop and Bluesy Folk, Joel creates soulful sounds with beautiful lyrics telling of falling in love.\u00a0Plus, he just debuted some songs on his soundcloud of him spitting bars, so hopefully he&#8217;ll showcase that on the night!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Felix MB\u00a0<\/b>from Derby will also be\u00a0supporting on the night.<\/p>\n<p><b>The Bodega<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wednesday 18th November<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 7PM<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tickets: \u00a37<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>GIG THREE<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bringing a touch of Americana to the Nottingham music scene, <\/span><b><a href=\"\">RYAN FARMER<\/a><\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is launching his new EP \u2018<em>Lurch<\/em>\u2019 at <a href=\"\"><strong>Rough Trade<\/strong> <\/a>on Saturday. The 21 year old takes influence from Folk and Blues from the other side of the Atlantic. With lyrics telling stories of \u201cwhiskey, women and worries\u201d through his gravelly toned voice and soulful guitar, Ryan creates a contemporary take on the genre.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support comes from the Beeston Blues boy <\/span><b><a href=\"\">JOE BARBER<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (that\u2019s a lot of \u2018b\u2019s\u2019). Joe puts an acoustic spin on Blues music with catchy lyrics and an Americana twang that will get your foot tapping. You may have seen Joe making up half of Country Folk duo <\/span><b><a href=\"\">MIDNIGHT SPECIALS.<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">ALEXA HAWKSWORTH<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be supporting too. Alexa\u2019s Acoustic Pop infused with Folk is influenced from artists including <strong>Laura Marling<\/strong> and <strong>First Aid Kit.<\/strong> Her powerful voice and poetic lyrics create beautiful music.
