You could say it\u2019s like an advent calendar in the lead up to Christmas, but just replace the chocolate with gigs\u2026 Anywaay, this week there\u2019s a headline show with tons of Notts support at <a href=\"\"><strong>Rescue Rooms<\/strong><\/a>, an album launch\/showcase at <strong>Rescue Rooms<\/strong> and Folk filled album launch at a 700 year old venue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>GIG ONE<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Wednesday<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">APRIL TOWERS<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are headlining <strong>Rescue Rooms<\/strong> on Wednesday! It\u2019s been a massive year for the duo, getting tons of National radio play as well as <em>\u2018A Little Bit of Fear\u2019<\/em> being put on the Fifa 16 Soundtrack (meaning the millions of Fifa players from across the world have that song stuck in their head. What was I saying about massive year again?). The show is part of their \u2018<em>Modern Psyche<\/em>\u2019 UK headline tour, promoting the release of their new single with the same name. They will be sharing their incredibly catchy Electro-Pop with huge choruses through a lively performance. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support comes from <\/span><b><a href=\"\">EYRE LLEW<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The three-piece played an amazing set last Friday at Our City and left the room in awe at their Ambient Acoustic ethereal sound. Having played fewer than 10 gigs in their time together, they have an incredible live set (including some proper fancy lights). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">SUSPECT ALIBI<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be bringing some Indie Rock to the night. The <strong>FSN 2015<\/strong> winners have been gigging around Notts a lot recently. Their growingly refined sound is created through the use of synth keys and catchy riffs making for choruses that you can\u2019t help but attempt to sing along to.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">JOSH WHEATLEY<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is also performing. He creates Indie Pop with a dark twist through the use of his soulful voice. His latest EP \u2018<em>Close<\/em>\u2019 has a more Electronic feel than previous pieces, demonstrating his maturing sound.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Rescue Rooms<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wednesday 9th December<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 6:30pm<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tickets: \u00a35<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>GIG TWO <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Friday<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our Artist of the Month, <\/span><b><a href=\"\">THEPETEBOX<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, is having an album launch at <strong>Rescue Rooms<\/strong> on Friday! He released \u2018<em>Future Loops<\/em>\u2019 back in 2012, but \u2018<em>Use The Fire<\/em>\u2019 will be his first album with all original content. After starting beatboxing over 10 years ago, this man has got a lot of experience in the trade. This will be the final date of his headline tour, so it\u2019s sure to be a massive night. You can hear all about the making of <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>THEPETEBOX<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"\">\u2019<\/a>s new album, how he got into Beatboxing and his experience of touring across the world in an interview we did with him <a href=\"\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a>. Their refined Rock and Roll sound with a grunge-esque twist is influenced by bands such as <strong>Oasis<\/strong> and <strong>The Smiths<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also supporting are <strong>Too Many T\u2019s<\/strong> from London.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Rescue Rooms<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Friday 11th December<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 6.30pm<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tickets: \u00a310<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>GIG THREE <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; Saturday<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">DH LAWRENCE &amp; THE VAUDEVILLE SKIFFLE SHOW<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (catchy name that, init?) are releasing their debut album \u2018<em>Sons and Lovers<\/em>\u2019 on Saturday. The five-piece formed back at the start of 2012. As well as having a bit of a thing for <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mr Lawrence<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">himself, the \u2018collective of skifflers\u2019 (as they like to be called) create an amalgamation of Americana, Folk and Skiffle, which makes a unique, but very beautiful, sound. The launch takes place at the 700 year old <strong><a href=\"\">Beauvale Priory<\/a><\/strong>, which is sure to make the evening extra special.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">LUKE WHITTEMORE<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be sharing his beautiful Country Folk on the evening. Telling stories of his past experiences with an Americana influenced sound. Luke has travelled across the UK and Europe in recent years, sharing his unique sound as he goes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">FRANKIE VACUUM<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will be supporting too. Creating comedic Folk\/Rock and performance poetry, helmet-wearing Frankie is originally from Hartlepool but has settled in the great city of Nottingham.
