Whether you\u2019re using it as an excuse to party all week in the name of lurrvee, or you want any excuse to forget it &#8211; there\u2019s plenty of New Notts music taking over this week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>TUESDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As well as being a super talented musician, <\/span><b><a href=\"\">NATALIE SMALLWOOD<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is super good at finding other super talented musicians and putting them on her Acoustic Nights. And on Tuesday night, she\u2019ll be doing just that at <strong><a href=\"\">The Running Horse<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First up is <\/span><b><a href=\"\">KATE AUBURN<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The Acoustic Folk songstress who has been gigging round Notts for a while now. Kate was previously a member of all girl trio <a href=\"\"><strong>HEARTS<\/strong><\/a> too, but now she\u2019s delivering her beaut vocals to venues all round the city as a solo act.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">NATALIE SMALLWOOD<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> herself is also performing (she\u2019s got a multitude of talents, don\u2019tcha know). She has been gigging round Notts and the rest of the East Midlands for a few years now, giving her plenty of stories to tell in her songwriting. Natalie will be releasing her debut EP at the end of March, so keep a look out for that.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The final act of the evening is <\/span><b><a href=\"\">JAMES DALBY<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. James is a bit of a youtube sensation with almost 1.5 Million views on a cover video, BUT, we don\u2019t care about covers here at Nusic. Thankfully, his solo stuff is pretty bloody good too. His sophomore EP will be dropping soon, so chances are you\u2019ll get to hear a cheeky snippit or two. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also performing will be <\/span><b>Michael Hardy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from <\/span><b>Derby<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (ha, it rhymes).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Running Horse<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tuesday 16th February<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: Music from 8pm<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tickets: FREE<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>THURSDAY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Ghost Dance<\/strong> are taking over\u00a0<a href=\"\"><strong>JamCafe<\/strong> <\/a>this Thursday, and they\u2019re bringing with them a bunch of raucous Rock and Roll bands. What else ya gonna do on a Thursday eve?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kicking off proceedings we have the psychedelic sounds of <a href=\"\"><strong>THE HIJINKS<\/strong><\/a>. The four-piece only played their debut gig two weeks ago (at <a href=\"\"><strong>Suede<\/strong><\/a>, if you were wondering), but they\u2019ve already nailed their sound (and look!) We look forward to hearing some recordings of these live tracks (word on the street is they\u2019ve been in the studio).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Next up are <a href=\"\"><strong>CATBONE<\/strong><\/a>, the three-piece that are kinda sat somewhere between Punk, Rock and Roll and Garage Rock. And, they\u2019ve got all the energy you\u2019d expect from that kinda genre concoction. Just remember this is <strong>JamCafe<\/strong> &#8211; so, there\u2019s a good chance you might end up with a sweat-drenched guitar on your head. But, in the moment, it\u2019ll probably feel like the coolest thing ever.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Nervous Twitch<\/strong> from Leeds will also be performing.<\/p>\n<p><b>Jam Cafe<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thursday 18th Feb<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 7pm<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tickets: FREE<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SATURDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">Phlexx<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"\">Records<\/a>\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are putting on their first show of the year over at the <a href=\"\"><strong>Contemporary<\/strong><\/a> and it\u2019s free!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">J LITTLES<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be joined onstage by <\/span><b><a href=\"\">JAH DIGGA<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>NICK STEZ<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &amp; <\/span><b>CHARLIE BONE<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; almost a supergroup in their own right! Hip-Hop veterans and members of Educated Foolz, <\/span><b><a href=\"\">J LITTLES<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b><a href=\"\">JAH DIGGA<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> know a thing or two about crafting real music. And with Nick and Charlie on sax and guitar respectively, they\u2019re sure to put on an incredible performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">LOWRIE<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be performing on Saturday. Yep, he\u2019s dropped the \u2018Frazer\u2019 and is a single-named artist now (kinda like Adele, or Beyonce&#8230;). Not only has he dropped his first name, he\u2019s switched the acoustic guitar for some synths, beats and a piano. He\u2019ll be releasing his new mixtape \u2018<em>Floating World<\/em>\u2019, which is full of all this electronic goodness, on 4th March. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">SPACE CITY<\/a> <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are new to the Nottingham music scene, but they\u2019ve built their own niche of Trip-Hop that sounds like they\u2019ve been doing it for years. Their name is actually quite suitable, their music is\u2026 spacey, if ya get us, down-tempo but still full of energy. Yeah, you need to check \u2018em live now to see what we\u2019re on about don&#8217;tcha?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">WHAT\u2019S MAHMOOD<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be making his live debut on the Phlexx stage, bringing along his pretty unique style of music.
