This week there\u2019s a Chill-Hop album release at <strong>Rough Trade<\/strong>, a fictional character\u2019s EP launch at <strong>The Running Horse<\/strong>, plus a farewell gig at<strong> The Bodega.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>WEDNESDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">FONZSE<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is launching his debut album \u201c<em>Conscious Decisions<\/em>\u201d on Wednesday at <strong>Rough Trade<\/strong>. Making Chill-Hop\/Hip-Hop\/Grime(-Hop? no?) since 2009, he\u2019s waited 7 years to drop his mixtape \u2018<em>Life<\/em>\u2019 and is releasing his debut album only a month later. And, to use a cliche, it&#8217;s definitely been worth the wait. He will be joined by fellow CBF (Certified Blood and Family) members including <strong>POET<\/strong>, <strong>OMIE OMZ<\/strong> and <strong>JAMMY<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Rough Trade<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wednesday 16th March<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 7pm<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tickets: Free<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>FRIDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">BENEDICT TRENCHES<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are releasing their debut EP on Friday at <strong>The Running Horse<\/strong>. The band perform under the alias of Benedict Trenches, a fictional character, and their <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Psych-Prog-Acoustic-Fiction Rock<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">music tells the story of the character who was created in 2015. If you want a taste of what\u2019s to come on their new release \u2018<em>EP Part One<\/em>\u2019, the lead single \u2018<em>Blank Slate<\/em>\u2019 is already up on the interwebs\u00a0to get you hands on. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support comes from trio <\/span><b><a href=\"\">DOUBLE HELIX<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, who create a fusion of Jazz and Rock. The band released their first album \u2018<em>Sea of Sand<\/em>\u2019 all the way back in 1992 (!!!) and waited another 22 years to release their sophomore record \u2018<em>A Million Deadly Spores<\/em>\u2019 in 2014. Let\u2019s hope they don\u2019t wait another 22 years to release the next one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">LEVI-CIVITA<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will also be supporting, bringing along their Instrumental Progressive Metal. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The band are made up of self-proclaimed \u201chaphazard nerds\u201d (they have a combined Xbox Live GamerScore of 49175, dontcha know) who graduated from UoN last summer. They\u2019ve just recently released their self-titled debut EP, go and have listen to their nerdy <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prog sounds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Summer House<\/strong> from Derby will also be performing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Running Horse<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Friday 18th March<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 7pm<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tickets: Free<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SATURDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saturday is sad day, because we\u2019ll be saying goodbye to the <a href=\"\"><strong>Music Exchange<\/strong><\/a> with a farewell gig at <strong>The Bodega<\/strong>. (*insert multiple crying emojis here*) Not only have they done a ton of good for the Notts music scene by stocking music from good ol\u2019 hoodtown, they\u2019ve done loads for the community too. They\u2019re staffed by volunteers in association with Framework Housing Association, who can gain social skills and work experiences when they would have often not been able to other wise.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To mark the occasion, <\/span><b><a href=\";fref=ts\">CROSA ROSA<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be performing. The three-piece headlined a packed out Bodega in January to launch their latest single \u201c<em>Simper Smiler<\/em>\u201d and are currently touring the UK supporting <strong>Purson<\/strong>. Making 60s Surf inspired Alternative, Psychedelia and Garage, the band played at Reading and Leeds festival last year and are already set to play Dot to Dot in 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The very unique <\/span><b><a href=\"\">RATTLE<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will also be performing. The all girl duo simultaneously play a mega large drum kit whilst harmonizing at the same time. After joining <strong>Witching Waves<\/strong> on their UK tour, they released a split EP with the band in December. Chances are, you haven&#8217;t heard anything quite like this lot before.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, you can see the one piece electronic act <\/span><b><a href=\"\">DEADBEAT AT DAWN<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. With song titles such as \u2018<em>Bonecrusher<\/em>\u2019 you wouldn\u2019t expect the one man act to get emotional about a shop. But DAD writes on his facebook page that the project may not have existed if it wasn\u2019t for TMX, like many other bands.
