It\u2019s finally getting to that point where we can go outside, and not have to wrap ourselves in multiple duvets. So, you\u2019ve got no excuse not to get yersen involved with some of the awesome gigs going off this week. This week there is a headline show at <strong><a href=\"\">The Contemporary<\/a><\/strong>, an album launch at <a href=\"\"><strong>The Chameleon<\/strong><\/a> and a Sunday filled with sweet music at Annie\u2019s.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>FRIDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">PAPER PLANE CRASH<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> have a headline show at <strong>The Contemporary<\/strong> on Friday, having just finishing their new single \u2018<em>House of Echoes<\/em>.\u2019 The three piece make Indie Surf-Pop that is perfect for those summer months on the horizon. We hear their debut album is not too far off (it\u2019s only taken them 6 years to get there) so you\u2019ll probs get a sneaky peak at that too.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">I AM LONO<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be supporting PPC. With a freshly added new member, the band produce <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cclaustrophobic, pounding, paranoid pop music gold.\u201d They released their self-titled debut EP through Louder City Records in August last year showcasing their spacey vocals, dark 80s Pop synths and some incredible bass hooks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can also catch support from <\/span><b><a href=\"\">THE CUSP<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The three piece, signed to I Own You Records, formed way back in 2008 and have found a genre middle-ground somewhere between Psychedelic, Indie Rock and Shoegaze. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Contemporary Cafe Bar<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Friday 8th April<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 8pm<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tickets: Free<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SATURDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">IN ISOLATION<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be launching their debut album \u2018<em>A Certain Fractal Light<\/em>\u2019 at <strong>The Chameleon<\/strong> on Saturday\u00a0night. It may have taken the New Wave\/Post-Punk three piece more than seven bloody years to get their first album out there, but *CLICHE ALERT* it\u2019s defo been worth the wait. Check out one of their most recent tracks on NMP 123 <a href=\"\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support comes from Post-Punk Indie Rockers <\/span><b>PRIME<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The band, formed in 2014, released their latest EP \u2018<em>IOU<\/em>\u2019 last year and are set to release an album later in 2016. As a live band &#8211; they have ridiculous amounts of energy; prepare for sweat, moshing, and&#8230; well, more sweat.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also supporting are <\/span><b><a href=\"\">DIABLOFURS<\/a><\/b> &#8211; a band that<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> describe their music as \u201cnoise noise noise tuneage daydream\u201d, influenced by life, accidents, death, art, sex and (arguably most importantly) wine. Yeah &#8211; they\u2019ve got quite a unique sound. Grab some wine of your own and have a noisy bop. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Chameleon Arts Cafe<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saturday\u00a09th April<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 8pm<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tickets: \u00a34<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SUNDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This week, the Sunday Sessions are back at <strong><a href=\"\">Annie\u2019s Burger Shack<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There\u2019s a load of sweet music from some awesome new Nottingham artists and some really bloody good burgers. What more could you want from your Sunday evening?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">CHRIS FOX<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is headlining the evening, taking influence from everyone from <strong>Kate Bush<\/strong> to <strong>Drake<\/strong> (I would love to see those two collab). He creates Acoustic Pop with hints of Rock, RnB and even Rap. You can catch the soulful sounds of <\/span><b><a href=\"\">LIA WHITE<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The 16 year old has been gigging a lot recently after starting her YouTube channel just over a year ago. <\/span><b><a href=\"\">SCRUFFY REECE<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be bringing his raw (and yes, kind of scruffy) but refined Country sounds. Acoustic duo <\/span><b><a href=\"\">LADY ROSE<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be performing. Made up of singer Joanne Lovatt and guitarist James Mather, they create acoustic, soulful sounds with a beautifully strong vocal and gorgeous guitar melodies. <\/span><b><a href=\"\">DAVE ATKINS<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will also be taking to the stage, with his storytelling lyrics and unique guitar sounds. You can catch the husky voice and foot-tapping sounds of <\/span><b><a href=\"\">DAVE BROWN JR<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. And finally the mysterious <strong>DOM WATERFIELD<\/strong> will be performing (he is mysterious because we can\u2019t find anything about him.
