There\u2019s a debut headline show at <strong><a href=\"\">The Bodega<\/a><\/strong>, a Pre-Album launch show at a brewery and an evening full of new music at <strong><a href=\"\">Rough Trade<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>THURSDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">THE HALF EIGHT<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> have their first ever headline show on Thursday at <strong>The Bodega<\/strong>. The \u201cKiss me like you meaaaan ittt\u201d four-piece who have changed their name a billion times (but are now definitely, I think anyway, stuck on The Half Eight), write some super catchy Pop songs with harmonies and punchy riffs galore. You can hear a teaser of their new track \u2018<em>Love in the Dark<\/em>\u2019 on their SoundCloud and you can already tell it\u2019s just as catchy as their other songs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support comes from <\/span><b><a href=\"\u2013-first-and-last-hangover-song-future-session-51-82\/\">JOSH KEMP<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the modern-day musical Robin Hood (he played Robin Hood in a TV pilot, he doesn\u2019t actually rob rich people). Using simply his acoustic guitar and loop pedal, Josh creates a huge sound with honest lyrics with stories about heartbreak and hangovers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">HOLLY FALLON<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is also supporting on Thursday. With influences\u00a0ranging from <strong>Oasis<\/strong> to <strong>Kelly Clarkson<\/strong>, Holly writes beautifully crafted songs with honest lyrics such as \u2018<em>Mirrors<\/em>\u2019 that talks about her struggles with body image. Her new single <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018Summer\u2019 <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is a lovely little ditty for\u2026 well, funnily enough, summer. You can catch a live performance in her Future Session <a href=\"\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Bodega<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thursday 14th April<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 7pm<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tickets: \u00a35 adv<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SATURDAY <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">YOU WANT FOX<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are having their Pre-Album launch on Saturday, which means you can get your hands on the duo\u2019s debut album \u2018<em>You Can\u2019t Sit With Us<\/em>\u2019 five whole weeks before anyone else. Colette and Natalie formed YWF in 2014 and have since been creating some HUGE Grunge-esque Pop. Their single \u2018<em>Bad Girls<\/em>\u2019 is an anthem for independent women, with military-style drums and vocals to rival Suzi Quatro. AND the event is happening at beer festival, could it get any better? If you can\u2019t make it to the Pre-Launch the album will be available from May 20th. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support comes from <\/span><b><a href=\"\">THE X RAYS<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, who formed way back in 1994. After a short break the band are back with their \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">barely-in-control garage punk noise.\u201d They\u2019ve had countless releases over the 22 years with some unique titles such as \u201c<em>Double Godzilla With Cheese<\/em>\u201d and \u201c<em>Whores Are Cool<\/em>\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">HAGGARD CAT BOTHDAY PRESENT<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will also be supporting. With genres ranging from Blues, Hillbilly and Math Rock, HCBP released their debut album \u2018Charged\u2019 in February 2013. The album was apparently made by accident, with the vocals recorded at The Orange Tree and the instruments tracked in one day on 1 hours sleep. Impressive stuff.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can also catch support from <\/span><b><a href=\"\">HOWLIN BONES<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> who make untraditional Rockabilly. Their debut EP \u2018<em>Housewives Choice<\/em>\u2019 is released on 1st September but you can get your ears round it now on their bandcamp. We hear they\u2019re available for Weddings, Bar Mitzvahs and Tupperware Parties (apparently they\u2019re an actual thing).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Black Iris Brewery<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Saturday 16th April<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: Beer Festival from 2pm, Music from 8.30pm<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tickets: \u00a33<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SUNDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Y Not Festival and BBC Introducing are hosting the 16th Faction at Rough Trade on Sunday, bringing you new artists AND it\u2019s all for free.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">THREE GIRL RHUMBA<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be taking to the stage following their sold out show at the Camden Barfly at the start of the month. The four-piece make feel-good Indie songs with super energetic performances. They released their debut single \u2018<em>Minnie Driver<\/em>\u2019 at the end of 2015 which was described as a \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">veritable ear-worm, a contagious piece of melody that is quite irresistibly English\u201d by Clash Music.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">KETO<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, fronted by the super talented Leah Sinead, will also be performing. <strong><a href=\"\">KETO<\/a><\/strong> formed in 2014, creating hypnotic Lo-Fi with elements of traditional Folk, mixed with enchanting atmospheric soundscapes and a captivating vocal. Quite a concoction ay? They\u2019ll be releasing their debut EP \u2018<em>What We Do<\/em>\u2019 later this month.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">SILVER WILSON<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will also be performing on Sunday. The three-piece formed late last year and have already booked shows across the country, sharing their huge Indie Pop songs, perfect for a bit of a sunny jig\u2026 but, you know, inside.
