Anyway, a whole host of live music waits for you this week lovely reader. Alt-Rock band <\/span><b><a href=\"\">ADELPHIA<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> headline <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>The Bodega<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on Monday, three amazing Notts artists are at the <\/span><b><a href=\"\">Malt Cross<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on Thursday and we get moshy at <\/span><b><a href=\"\">The Intake<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on Saturday. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>MONDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">ADELPHIA<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are the 5-piece, Alternative-Rock band that stormed the country with their immense vocals, thick guitar riffs and crashing drums. Back at <\/span><b>The Bodega<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> before another UK tour, this band of brothers (that\u2019s what Adelphia means in Greek don\u2019t you know) have been on Kerrang TV and played at Download Fest. A cascade of emotion, Adelphia will have you swinging from the chandelier (if <\/span><b>The Bodega<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> had any of course). \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also supporting Pop-Rock band <\/span><b>Glass Giants<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from South Wales and <\/span><b>Everybody Looks Famous<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from Tamworth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Bodega<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 6pm<br \/>\n<\/span>Tickets: \u00a37.25<\/p>\n<p><b>THURSDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Malt Cross<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> live are serving up a delicious slice of Notts music straight to your ere\u2019ole.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two guitars, two voices but a whole lotta loooove, <\/span><a href=\"\"><strong>MIDNIGHT SPECIAL<\/strong><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"\"><strong>\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> music is honest and heartfelt. Coming together to craft a beautiful mix of Folk, Country and Blues, Joe Barber and Emma Bladon are like Johnny Cash and June Carter &#8211; they just fit! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of our most vibey <\/span><b>Future Sessions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the year, <\/span><b><a href=\"\">JONNY OLLEY<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0(damn I wish my name was that cool) has perfected the moody vocals of a \u2018Cream \u2018Fender-ed twenty something\u2019. His guitar playing lets loose those funky riffs and we love his \u2018Jack The Lad\u2019 style of singing. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Accompanied by trusty guitar Earl, <\/span><b>MELISSA DANIAL-WARD<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is ready to take on the world (well the <\/span><b>Malt Cross<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at least). We are loving new demo \u2018<em>Stellar Umbrella<\/em>\u2019 which she describes as \u2018flawed and imperfect like a bag of broken biscuits &#8211; a bit chipped and cracked but still tasting pretty darn good.\u2019 Rich and buttery, Melissa\u2019s voice flickers from strength to softness and shows that it\u2019s your \u201cimperfections\u201d that make you glorious!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Headlining is <\/span><b>Lauren Rycroft Band<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from Lincoln.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Malt Cross<br \/>\n<\/b>Doors; 7pm<br \/>\nEntry: free<\/p>\n<p><b>SATURDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the last shows ever for <\/span><b>The Intake<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>FML Productions <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are saying goodbye in the only way they can, with a Rock Metal night! Yaaaaaaaaaaaargh!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Having formed at college in 2008, Mansfield\u2019s <\/span><b><a href=\"\">DIRTY BEARD<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are still together and still making music (well done to your Sirs!). Taking influence from <\/span><b>John Smiths<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>The Clutch<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, these guys unashamedly rock out, get drunk, rock out some more and then get drunk some more. The future is Dirty for Mansfield as long as these troops stick around. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proving that Grunge never died, <\/span><b><a href=\"\">AUTOGENIC<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will rattle your vertebrate with their gritty riffs and power vocals. Formed in 2010, this 4-piece unshackle the rock demon from inside. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not to be confused with the Malaysian Metalcore band Lycan, ouuuur <\/span><b><a href=\"\">LYCAN<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is from the streets of Mansfield. With a forthcoming album, these skeletal shakers \u2018have more metal than your grandma\u2019s new hip\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Like a chocolate fondant,\u00a0<\/span><b><a href=\"\">THE SPANGLE CORPS<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> appear to have a spongy Alternative Punk Pop outer but once bitten into, reveal a dark and intense centre (sorry if that made you hungry). They cross multiple genres and do so with gumption.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Six-piece Metalcore band <\/span><b><a href=\"\">NO HONOR<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> write with poignant lyrics &#8211; song \u2018<em>Lost Youth<\/em>\u2019 is about mental health and has seen the boys try to raise awareness of such a serious topic. They play deep, dark and damn right moshy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019m not going to mention <\/span><a href=\"\"><strong>JAMES DALBY<\/strong><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"\"><strong>\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> 1.5 million hits on YouTube (shit I did it again) but anyway that doesn\u2019t matter, what matters is his voice is like molten (if molten was a noun and not an adjective). You\u2019re probably used to seeing James in his room from YouTube videos so take the chance while you can to see him on stage.
