And not the dirty, nicked off Limewire kind. Just nice, good for the soul, free music. Ahh. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>MONDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Those lovely lot at <a href=\"\"><strong>Acoustic Rooms<\/strong><\/a> know how to throw a party. That\u2019s a fact. It\u2019s summer, that\u2019s also a fact. So, this Monday, <a href=\"\"><strong>Acoustic Rooms<\/strong><\/a> are throwing a Summer party. See what they did there?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The killer lineup starts with <\/span><b><a href=\"\">#lad JONNY OLLEY<\/a>.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This gent knows his way around a guitar, and a catchy melody too. Most singer-songwriters are story tellers, but not many are quite as honest as Jonny. Have a listen to his Future Session <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>HERE<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to see what we mean. He debuted some ace new tracks at Splendour a few weeks back, so we\u2019re looking forward to seeing what else he\u2019s been cracking on with music wise. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Potentially the loveliest duo in music ever &#8211; <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>MOLLY &amp; JACK<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be taking to the stage on Monday too. Champs of super-sweet Folky goodness, these two write some of the catchiest tunes that we\u2019ve ever heard. And the harmonies man, don\u2019t get us started &#8211; cos we won\u2019t shut up. Basically, they\u2019re very very good. You should go and see them\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>THE EDI JOHNSTON BIT<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be bringing all the heart-warming humour you could ever ask for this Monday. If you\u2019re unfamiliar with Edi, he\u2019s just a very nice human (there\u2019s a bit of a theme developing here), who translates that niceness into his songs. Put it this way, one of his most popular tunes is about putting the kettle on, and\u2026 it\u2019s just so right. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>JAMIE MOON<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will take to the stage with his\u2026 well, rather LOVELY Folky goodness on Monday too. Jamie released his latest EP \u2018<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oh, My Heart\u2019<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> earlier in the year, and it\u2019s full of tunes that, funnily enough, make ya go \u201coh, my heart\u201d, in that teenager swooning over their pop idol kinda way. Hopefully you understood what I meant by that, if you didn\u2019t, basically his tunes are very heartwarming. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">OH, and there\u2019s a super top secret special guest performing too. We can\u2019t tell ya much. We can tell ya they are Notts though. It\u2019s a goodun\u2026 you\u2019ll just have to pop along to find out won\u2019t cha?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"\">Rescue Rooms<\/a><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monday 22nd August<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 8pm<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Price: Free<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>THURSDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The brilliantly named Nightfish returns to\u00a0<a href=\";fref=ts\"><strong>Southbank City<\/strong><\/a> yet again this week, this time bringing <\/span><a href=\";fref=ts\"><b>SUPER FURNITURE<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\";fref=ts\"><b>ONE GIANT CAUSEWAY <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">along for the ride. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A lot of people have a lot of love for <\/span><a href=\";fref=ts\"><b>SUPER FURNITURE<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Champs of <\/span><b><a href=\"\">#FSN2016<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, this Alt-Rock four piece are one of those bands that are bloody difficult to describe. They\u2019re a bit Indie, they\u2019re a bit Math-Rock-y, and there\u2019s also a sprinkling of Pop in there too. And &#8211; if you didn\u2019t catch them at FSN (tut tut) you\u2019ll be glad to know they put on one hell of a live show.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\";fref=ts\"><b>ONE GIANT CAUSEWAY<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are masters of a good riff. Have a listen to latest single \u2018<em>Last Night\u2019<\/em>, to <a href=\"\">hear what we mean<\/a>. They\u2019ve been putting the work in in the studio, having just released an EP earlier in the year, they\u2019re now on track to release ANOTHER, later on this year. If the new one is full of songs as catchy as what we\u2019ve heard thus far, we\u2019re sure it\u2019ll be whatever the guitar equivalent for a banger is. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Southbank, City<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thursday 25th August<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 830pm<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Price: Free<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SATURDAY<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><a href=\"\"><b>SUNSET NEBULA <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>AUTUMN DIET PLANS<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are taking over <\/span><a href=\";fref=ts\"><b>Nottingham Contemporary <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">this Sat for an evening of spacey brilliance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SN describe themselves as \u201cgroovacious space Rock\u201d, and ya know what &#8211; that description does a pretty good job of summing em up. Completely instrumental, they\u2019re the kind of band that completely puts to shame those people that think ya need vocals to make incredible music. From sick guitar riffs, to delicate melodies, SN have a freakin\u2019 awesome sound wrapped up in one incredibly tight package. They got it goin\u2019 onnnnn.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ADP have been making quite the name for themselves since they landed a few months ago from outer space. Having just come off a European tour, they\u2019re right back at it in their home town, delivering riff-heavy space Grunge madness. Beautiful madness, that is. Chances are, one of them will probs end up in the crowd, one will probs end up on the floor, and one will probs end up jumping on a spaceship.
