Photo Credit:<\/strong> Daniel Whiston<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The mad weather is now upon us and apparently Pumpkin Spice season is too; if like us you couldn\u2019t give two hoots about creamy nutmeg and cinnamony coffee drinks and just want to hear some right good Notts tunes then you are in luck. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nottingham is serving us a proper wicked week again, minus the whipped cream (unless you\u2019re into that sorta thing of course) &#8211; An Indie\/Rock\u2018n\u2019Roll night at <a href=\"\"><strong>The Maze<\/strong><\/a>, a travelling tent gig and a party to celebrate wraps, yep wraps, with a tonne of good music on the menu.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>FRIDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Friday night sees <\/span><a href=\"\"><strong>This Feeling<\/strong><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"\"><strong>\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> first ever Notts night, at <\/span><b>The Maze<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Four piece <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>SAME STREETS <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will bring their funky Rock n Roll. The band are pretty awesome live and there\u2019s like 100 reasons why &#8211; the mega heavy guitar riffs of Jacob Harris (guitarist, funnily enough), the intense drum hammering of Seb McNish and OBVIOUSLY the catchy melodies serenaded to us by vocalist James Gooch &#8211; whose raspy voice has deffo put me under some creepy spell where I\u2019m singing\/screaming every damn line and I\u2019m 100% down with his witchcraft all over again. Please James, Please.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rowdy Hucknall favourites <a href=\"\"><strong>THE RUFFS<\/strong><\/a> will be at <\/span><b>The Maze<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> too, frontman Connor Spray has managed to pull himself away from Bake Off (he\u2019s not the biggest fan\u2026) and give us more of the massive Indie Rock\u2019n\u2019Roll vibes we know and go wild for from them. Some of their new songs have been sounding HUGE, and we&#8217;re sure in a packed out Maze, they&#8217;ll sound even better!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tom, Kieran and Angus otherwise known as <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>THE TANGENTS <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are making an appearance too with their super catchy Indie stylings, recent tune \u2018<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Forever More\u2019 <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is about leaving a crappy relationship where the boys say they\u2019re \u201csick of rainy days\u201d so fingers crossed it\u2019s not raining on the night or these boys won\u2019t be happy bunnies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Maze<br \/>\n<\/b>Friday 30th September<b><br \/>\n<\/b>Doors: 8pm<br \/>\nPrice: \u00a34 advance online booking, \u00a35 on the door<\/p>\n<p><b>SATURDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lyrical master <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>SCORZAYZEE <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and his team the <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>GM UNIT<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are heading to <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>Rough Trade <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">this Saturday for the<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong> Gangsta Wraps<\/strong> Launch Party. So that&#8217;s a new record to buy, food to indulge in, plus a live performance of course.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scorz promises to \u201ctake down the Clown, Colonel and King\u201d and by down we assume he means down for a boogie&#8230; If they are all gonna be there on the night it\u2019s gonna make for some riiiight good entertainment. PS &#8211; they&#8217;re all food references if ya hadn&#8217;t gathered. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scorz will probably have you doubting your fast food choices, but he says\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;If you see me bussin shots at McDonald&#8217;s, Gangsta Wraps made me do it\u201d which basically means you can blame all your life choices on fast food. Sorted. Scorz is a Notts legend for a reason, so we have no doubt his and <strong>GM UNIT&#8217;s<\/strong> performance will be out of this world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oh, and you can get buy the\u00a0new\u00a012\u2019 vinyl on the night too. So get yer dirty mitts on it while ya can! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Rough Trade<br \/>\n<\/b>Saturday 1st October<br \/>\nDoors: 7pm<br \/>\nPrice: FREE<\/p>\n<p><b>SATURDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>I\u2019m Not From London<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are hosting the<strong> Spiegel Tent<\/strong> with a \u201cprohibition launch party\u201d which is pretty massive\u00a0cos this travelling tent has been all round the globe including New York and Sydney and now to the even more famous Notts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kicking off the night are <\/span><b><a href=\"\">FAT DIGESTER<\/a>,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a blend of Jazz, Funk, and Hip Hop that is gonna get you proper shaking your booty! They\u2019re a proper eclectic bunch that according to Craig Charles are \u201cincredibly tight\u201d &#8211; from the trumpeter to the fast paced MC\u2019ing to their traditional jazzy vocals and multiple Sax\u2019s, the band have something for everyone with their funky feel good viiibes. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Playing next is <\/span><b><a href=\"\">BENDIGO BAND<\/a>, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">who have a proper cutting-edge electric sound, full of all sorts of breaks and bleeps kinda like a mix of a police sirens and car breaks and everything else you\u2019ve ever heard mashed in together &#8211; but it\u00a0sounds good, obvs. Mixing exotic influences with massive bass line drops and vocals with all sorts of tech effects, you\u2019ll be busting your robot all over the place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finishing off the event with mega high voltage energy is\u00a0<\/span><b><a href=\"\">UNKNOWN ERA<\/a>. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hip-hop mc-ing, Ska and Gypsy influenced, there\u2019s not a genre they don\u2019t tap into and as <strong>LeftLion<\/strong> rightfully said their &#8216;Hip hop, Reggae, Gypsy sound-combo has the audience dancing and jumping instantaneously&#8217;, so get ready to break an absolute sweat, and hopefully not bones, to their sweet tunes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Spiegiel Tent, Old Market Square<br \/>\n<\/b>Saturday 1st October<br \/>\nDoors: 7pm<br \/>\nPrice:\u00a0\u00a38 advance \/ \u00a310 on the door.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yours in Love of New Music,<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Angelica Giugno x<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SCORZAYZEE.
