The latest good vibes\/ success headlines from the Nottingham music scene over the Summer (that we know of)<\/strong>, please drop us a line if we\u2019ve missed anything significant (our definition of significant is a first\u00a0of national relevance) \u2013 nusic@leftlion.co.uk.<\/p>\n

– Notts artists (SLEAFORD MODS<\/a> \/ JAKE BUGG<\/a><\/strong>) played Rock City<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>main hall three times in the space of eight days, two of which sold out, all of which had local support acts!<\/p>\n

– Hockley Hustle<\/strong><\/a> raised a whopping \u00a317,500 this year, with all proceeds going to\u00a0CYF Project, Dolly’s Imagination Library, Equation, Framework, John Van Geest Cancer Research Centre, Nottingham Rethink, plus Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Refugee Forum.<\/strong><\/p>\n

– SHEKU KANNEH-MASON<\/strong><\/a> has signed to the Classical wing of the legendary Decca Records<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

– BILLIE’s<\/strong><\/a> debut EP made it to No.7 in the iTunes Singer-Songwriter chart, just behind some bloke called Ed Sheeran<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

– SHEKU KANNEH-MASON<\/strong><\/a> will have his own BBC4<\/strong> documentary. Yes, his own documentary, focussed on his music, and his siblings, plus the diversity of Classical music. Mental.<\/p>\n

– HECK<\/strong><\/a> have been announced to play the epic Texas (yes, as in Texas, America) festival SXSW<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

– MISSY<\/strong><\/a> and BROADSTROKES<\/strong><\/a> have been selected as Year 2 Future Bubblers<\/strong>!<\/p>\n
