Every man, woman, and their pet of choice (okay maybe not the pet) can find something to satisfy their musical cravings. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After some serious debate (ya know we try hard to be objective and fair), we\u2019ve got it down to a debut live show, a charity gig full of ace Notts artists, plus a debut album launch. Let\u2019s go&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>TUESDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>CHROMA BAY<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> have finally got around to satisfying our live needs, and have their debut live show at <\/span><a href=\";ref=br_tf&amp;qsefr=1\"><b>Rough Trade<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> this week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>CHROMA BAY<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are an Electro-Pop duo who make\u2026 well, blissful Electro-Pop. They\u2019ve risen from the ashes of <\/span><b>BITTER STRINGS<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with a very different sound, but jeez &#8211; it sounds amazing. Debut single <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018Impossible\u2019<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> had us hooked from the second the synth kicked in, and every single that\u2019s followed has been a Pop beauty. This is their DEBUT live show, and we\u2019re told there\u2019s plenty of surprises and guests that\u2019ll be making it happen. Plus &#8211; they\u2019ve been making us wait months, so there must be like fireworks and lions and\u2026 okay, that might go against healthy and safety regulations\u2026 BUT, we\u2019re sure the live show will have been well worth the wait. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supporting are <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>DECO<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; an Electro-Indie band that really know how to bring the party. If you\u2019ve ever seen them, you\u2019ll know what we mean. They\u2019re one of those bands that seem to knock out earworms like nobody\u2019s business. Every single single (intentional repeat) manages to get stuck in our head for weeks on end. And, on top of that &#8211; live they\u2019re one of the most charismatic bands you\u2019ll ever see. Dancing. Shouting (or should that be singing). And many, many good vibes. We\u2019re confident <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>DECO<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will warm the crowd up just right.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Rough Trade<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tuesday 22nd November<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Price: Free<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 6pm<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>FRIDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>Musicians Against Homelessness<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are back, bringing with them a ton of ace Notts musicians, all doing their bit and raising some dollar for <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>Crisis<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This time they\u2019re hosted by NTSU Music Society, and they\u2019re calling <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>Spanky Van Dykes <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">home. Kicking things off are <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>CHERRY HEX &amp; THE DREAM CHURCH<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the eclectic Minimal Pop duo who seem to be gigging more than sleeping. Bringing their beaut melodies and super catchy glock (yes, glock) sounds with them. <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>THE HIJINKS<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are up next with their spaced out Psychedelic Rock vibes. Sexeh guitar riff central &#8211; these guys will have ya wishing ya never put that cheap guitar down in your teens. The mysterious <\/span><b>SWOLVES<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are up next. They don\u2019t have much of a social media presence&#8230; In fact, the main thing that comes up when ya search for them is \u201cswaggy K-Pop Wolves\u2019&#8230;, so, we\u2019re gonna assume that\u2019s not them. But based on the rest of the lineup, we\u2019re sure they\u2019re ace. Absolutely mental punks <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>PRIME<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are up next with their heavy sounds and\u2026 really bloody catchy melodies. And let\u2019s not forget frontman Lee, he will have you engaged, we guarantee that! Finally we have <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>SANJEE ANAND<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a singer-songwriter who takes a loop pedal and\u2026 well, basically turns into a musical magician. Even if you\u2019re not a musician, you\u2019re bound to be hooked in, and quite envious of his musical ability.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>Spanky Van Dykes<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Friday 25th November<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Price: \u00a33<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 8pm<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SATURDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>THE MOST UGLY CHILD<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are launching their debut album this week, and to celebrate they\u2019re throwing a launch party at <a href=\"\"><strong>The Lofthouse<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you\u2019re unfamiliar with TMUG, they\u2019re one of Nottingham\u2019s finest Country \/ Americana purveyors. In other words, they bring the party with all manners of eclectic instruments, and some damn catchy melodies too. The debut album &#8211; \u201c<em>Copper and Lace<\/em>\u201d &#8211; is shaping up to be a proper beauty. Ya can catch a little preview of it on their Bandcamp (where you can also pre-order *hint, hint*), and it\u2019s sounding like a proper Americana bop. *CLICHE ALERT*, make sure ya bring your dancing shoes, you\u2019re gonna need them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supporting is <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>LUKE WHITTEMORE<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a gent who similar to TMUG makes a blissful blend of Americana \/ Country, but he does it all on his Tom Jones. He\u2019s a fella who manages to tell some beautiful stories through his lyrics, and, is potentially the only Notts musician to get the words \u201cchicken-hypnotisers\u201d into his bio. Yup. Chicken. Hypnotisers. No idea.
