There\u2019s gigs going off all over Notts this week, and there\u2019s a proper diverse mix to get yer musical teeth sunk into. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>THURSDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Get down to <a href=\"\"><strong>Rough Trade<\/strong><\/a> to see<\/span><a href=\"\"><b> LAST SONS<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> perform live with their US brother <\/span><b>Uncommon Nasa<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>LAST SONS<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is made up of rapper Duke01 and Furious P the frenzied turntablist, and what they\u2019re going to show you will probably blow your mind a little bit. <\/span><b>Uncommon Nasa <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are over all the way from New York, and seeing as they have produced <\/span><b>LAST SONS<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> tracks and featured on them, it will probably be like a belated valentine&#8217;s day as you watch two acts that belong together, do their thing! Big things.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>TY HEALY<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is up pre <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>LAST SONS<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, delivering his eclectic mix of Hip-Hop. Easily switching up from chill Electronic beats, to more classic Hip-Hop, this guy can vocally work over anything. It\u2019s all about displaying Nottingham&#8217;s young talent, across the musical genres, and other creative outlets (dance \/ spoken word etc). It should be an extra special night actually &#8211; as County Youth Arts celebrates it\u2019s 20th year on this planet in 2017. The inspiring <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>ABLE ORCHESTRA<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be showcasing their talent, as an open group of young people with disabilities, who have used programmes such as Garageband and Ableton to create stunning sounds and visions. When they played BBC Proms last year it was something beautiful. And now, they\u2019ve had some musical guidance from <\/span><b><a href=\"\">RONIKA<\/a>, <a href=\"\">SI TEW<\/a>\u00a0<\/b>and loads more<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Yes, you did see that right. All you have to do is click that old attending button on Facebook (that you usually click just to make yourself look cool), but now it actually gets you entry! Finishing the night will be the psych-ey five piece <\/span><b>Beach for Tiger<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> all the way from the Big Smoke.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Next up are <\/span><b><a href=\"\">CHERRY HEX AND THE DREAM CHURCH<\/a>\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(to clear everything up; the singer is not called Cherry and there is no church, it is two lovely humans called Maddy and Alex). With ambience all around and Maddys enticing vocals swimming around, and a xylophone sprinkled about, these guys are bringing a whole new side to \u2018Notts atmos pop\u2019 (I\u2019ve coined that, shotgun). It\u2019ll all be absolutely gorgeous is what I\u2019m trying to say, so definitely don\u2019t miss these two!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Having just put on a killer performance for their FS, <\/span><a href=\";t=11s\"><b>VEGA BAY<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are bringing up the rear with their beautiful Summer-stained Pop. With absolute dance anthems like <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018Drench\u2019<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to the more melancholic \u2018<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sometimes It Rains\u2019,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> catchy melodies and gorgeous vocals will permeate your eardrums and keep your feet moving throughout. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>THREE GIRL RHUMBA<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are also on board to deliver all the catchy jangliness you could ever need. Curious as to what \u2018catchy jangliness\u2019 is? Well, ya better get down and see then ain\u2019t ya? Little hint &#8211; you\u2019re gonna be in love with the way these guys play their guitars.
