Yep we were getting a bit confused too.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nIn our four odd years in New Music land we have had always had the approach of trying to give as many artistes as possible a push. <strong>Our preference was plentiful helpful nudges over a selet number of full-on pushes<\/strong>. This was due to our focus being on the unrecognised, our belief in the power of that first nudge and also the pragmatic reality that we don&#8217;t have the resouces to do much more. We can&#8217;t ever get you on at Glastonbury, but we can give artists the nudge that pushes them on to become good enough to play Glastonbury.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nThe AOTM is a chance to increase the intensity with which we support an artist from a nudge towards a push, it&#8217;s a chance to go into more detail and gradaute nearer to the coverage levels those artists that are really starting to achieve deserve.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nOur first AOTM sums this all up very well. <strong>His first reviews, plays and session from us last year helped him in his early days, now he&#8217;s a major label artist who to be frank doesn&#8217;t really need our help<\/strong>. The AOTM allows us to go into the level of details such success deserves, share that inspiring success with the rest of Nottingham and yes tap into Jake&#8217;s larger following so we can evangelise about the whole of Notts to them.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nCapeesh?<br \/>\nvlr<br \/>\nx<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Artist of the Month is a new feature, which in itself encompasses some new features, are you still with us?
