Make sure ya get down and enjoy their raucous Indie brilliance.<\/p>\n<p>Whether ya wanna see some of Notts finest new bands, get your catchy-Indie mosh on, or just go mental with your mates at a Working Men&#8217;s club, there&#8217;s something going on for all this week.<\/p>\n<p><b>MONDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First off, make sure to get down to everyone&#8217;s favourite Mansfield Road haunt, <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>The Maze<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">! Bringing the best of Nottinghamshire&#8217;s young talent into the foreground, the final for <a href=\"\"><strong>Nottingham Music Hub&#8217;s<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>\u2019Noise from the Next Generation\u2019 are taking place for all those aged 13-15. With some really brilliant raw talent around, it\u2019s going to be a night of \u2018holy&#8230; they\u2019re so good\u2019, and \u2018oh my god she\u2019s only 14?!\u2019 and \u2018what the heck was I doing at 14?\u2019. Make sure to get down early so you can catch all of the talent that\u2019ll be swimming around.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Maze<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monday 27th February<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors:<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Price: free<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>FRIDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Headlining your Friday, <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>THE TANGENTS<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are having their eagerly awaiting Bode-gig (Bodega-gig\u2026 yup, proud of that one). With glorious leaping guitar lines, and almost <\/span><b>Libertines<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-esque vocals, not mentioning Angus drumming like he\u2019s going to take off any second, these guys are the definition of a bundle of fun. Having gigged heavily all around Notts last year, they&#8217;re very excited for their first gig of 2017! Their stuff is crazy catchy and if it\u2019s not stuck in your head at the end of the night\u2026 well, just\u2026 go away. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Five piece Indie Rock band <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>SHORT WEEKENDS<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> were at <\/span><b>Bodega<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> not too long ago playing alongside FSN champs <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>SUPER FURNITURE<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>PAPER SHOP DAVE<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and they&#8217;re stoked to get back on that stage. Not your average Indie Rock band, you will hear some great keyboard synth action and wacky rhythms. They\u2019re also due a new EP sometime soon so this could be the night for some first plays?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pop-Rock quintet <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>FOR THE GIRL<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0are \u2019the band that should clash\u2019, but actually marry together five different styles of music. The unique vocals of Sam Plenty, the crunchy guitar courtesy of Josh King, James Wells jazzy bass (and well any instrument he needs to play), Foxy\u2019s old school drum lines and Isaac Hallas&#8217; melodic lead guitar lines all blending together to make this cacophony of sound<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Bodega<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Friday 3rd March<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 7pm<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Price: \u00a35<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>FRIDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>THE RUFFS <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">only stepped onto the <a href=\"\"><strong>Rock City<\/strong><\/a> main stage a few months ago &#8211; but this week they are bringing their exceptional music to the smaller and cosier <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>Working Mens Club<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Hucknall. They\u2019ve got the Indie Rock n Roll thing down to a T so best to get a mate under your arm and let their quirky but beautiful lyricism wash over you like a welcome rainstorm. A fierce rainstorm, mind. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>VANITY BOX<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are back in top form, having played a few gigs with their new line up, and with some new music that\u2019s just waiting to get out there. Ready yourself for a lot of chanting as this Indie bundle of fun bring catchy riffs and brilliant melodies that you\u2019re going to really struggle to get it out your head the next day! Can\u2019t be a bad thing, right?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>THE COLLIDERS<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> only played their first gig in Summer last year, but were hooked from the get go and haven\u2019t stopped gigging since. These talented young lads bring a lot of raw talent to the table, though some of their fans are wondering if they have time to revise for those exams? Music is more important though\u2026 init?
