There\u2019s a fundraiser for one of Nottingham\u2019s best loved venues, an album launch at <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>Rough Trade<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and night full of pop at <\/span><a href=\"%20contemporary\"><b>The Contemporary<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>WEDNESDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"\"><strong>The Maze<\/strong><\/a> have given loads of Nottingham musicians their first gigs. Now, they need your help. As well as setting up a Kickstarter, they\u2019re putting on a gig to help raise money to make some big improvements to the venue. So empty ya pockets and listen to some great music.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Headlining the night are <a href=\"\"><b>THE FLAVELLS<\/b><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. They released their EP \u2018<em>No! No! No!<\/em>\u2019 earlier in the year, the band make Indie Rock n Roll, with that undeniable Bugg\/Kennedy family tone, the band are getting slicker with every performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The recently formed <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>VIYELLAS<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be performing on Wednesday. They released their first recordings just over a month ago, expect Indie Rock filled with catchy riffs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>REBEL CITY REVIVAL<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> have been crazy busy, gigging around the country since the start of the year. Fronted by Nick Aslam, the band formed last year and make catchy Indie Rock.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>MICHAEL REDDINGTON <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will be offering his services to The Maze, bringing incredible Indie Rock to the venue. His new song \u2018<em>The Man I Used To Be<\/em>\u2019 is a bit of handbrake from his usual stuff but it\u2019s a bloody good handbrake.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The Maze<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wednesday 12th April<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 7:30pm<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entry: Donation<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>FRIDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"\"><b>WIDOWS<\/b><\/a> are launching their new album \u2018<em>Oh Deer God<\/em>\u2019 at <\/span><b>Rough Trade<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on Friday. Five years since the release of their debut \u2018<em>Death Valley Duchess<\/em>,\u2019 the new album is much anticipated. Dubbed as \u201cNottingham\u2019s favourite son\u2019s of the riff,\u201d the band&#8217;s heavy, Stoner Rock is loud enough to shatter glass. And your eardrums. In a good way.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Regulus <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">from Sheffield and <\/span><b>Mastiff<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from Derby will also be playing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Rough Trade<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Friday 14th April<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 7pm<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entry: Free<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SATURDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>Phlexx Records<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are back at<strong> The Contemporary<\/strong> this Saturday for the fourth \u2018<\/span><b>Phlexx and Friends<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u2019 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>TWIN KIDD<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are headlining the event with their incredible, uplifting, ambient pop. Stef\u2019s euphoric vocal over electronic beats make for a mesmerising experience. They\u2019ve been working on a new single recently that we can\u2019t wait to hear.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>VERA GULL<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be harmonising the life outta Tempreh, making Dark Pop which will can only sound amazing echoing through the stunning venue. They haven&#8217;t played many shows yet &#8211; but each show they have played, they&#8217;ve left the audience stunned. In a good way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>CHERRY HEX AND THE DREAM CHURCH<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will have glockenspiel in hand, ready to recreate their spacey, shoegazey\u00a0Pop, leaving the audience in a dream world filled with cotton candy and more glockenspiels.
