Photo Credit:<\/strong> Unknown<\/p>\n<p><strong>All the\u00a0good vibes \/ success headlines from the Nottingham music scene over the past few months (that we know of)<\/strong>, please drop us a line if we&#8217;ve missed anything significant (our definition of significant is a first of national relevance) &#8211; nusic@leftlion.co.uk.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It&#8217;s been a huge six months for <strong><a href=\"\">YOUNG T &amp; BUGSEY<\/a><\/strong>. They got their first national radio play from fellow Nottsman <strong>MistaJam<\/strong> at the start of the year. And now they&#8217;re playing two of the UK&#8217;s biggest festivals, <strong>Wireless<\/strong> and <strong>Reading and Leeds Festival<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"\">YOU WANT FOX<\/a> <\/strong>had their debut national radio play courtesy of John Kennedy on Radio X.<\/li>\n<li>Forever Records were nominated for a Music Week award for Independent Retailer.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"\">SLEAFORD MODS<\/a><\/strong>&#8216; album English Tapas reached number 12 in the official UK charts AND made history as the first ever Notts artist to play Wembley Stadium when they supported the Stone Roses.<\/li>\n<li>20 Notts artist got some national media loving courtesy of <strong>Fred Perry Subculture<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"\">CHROMA BAY<\/a><\/strong> got their national telleh play on Made In Chelsea with their track &#8216;<em>Overnight<\/em>.&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>A record breaking number of local artists played Nottingham&#8217;s <strong>Dot to Dot Festival<\/strong> &#8211; over 150 Notts musicians! 150!<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"\">MEZZO<\/a><\/strong> got played on <strong>1XTRA<\/strong> thanks to <strong>Jamz Supernova<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"\">KETO<\/a><\/strong> received some badass funding from the <strong>PRS for Music Foundation<\/strong> via the Women Make Music fund.<\/li>\n<li>ANDDDD\u00a0<strong><a href=\"\">BRU-C<\/a><\/strong> has been given <strong>PRS for Music Foundation<\/strong> funding via the &#8216;Open Fund&#8217;.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"\">YAZMIN LACEY<\/a><\/strong> got her first play on <strong>BBC 6 Music<\/strong>\u00a0courtesy of <strong>Giles Peterson<\/strong> and then he went and put &#8216;Black Moon&#8217;\u00a0as the &#8216;6 Music Recommends&#8217; release of the week.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"\">MOWBECK<\/a> <\/strong>were added to <strong>Radio 1<\/strong>&#8216;s playlist as the <strong>BBC Introducing Track of the Week<\/strong> with their song &#8216;<em>The Basement<\/em>.&#8217;<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"\">ROB GREEN<\/a><\/strong> got his debut <strong>Radio One<\/strong> play with his track &#8216;<em>Belief<\/em>&#8216; thanks to <strong>Huw Stephens<\/strong> and <strong>BBC Introducing East Midlands<\/strong>!<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"\">TACO HELL<\/a><\/strong> got their debut\u00a0<strong>Radio 1<\/strong> play from <strong>Huw Stephens!<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\"><strong>LONDON GRAMMAR<\/strong><\/a> only went and got a number one album with &#8216;<em>Truth Is A Beautiful Thing.<\/em>&#8216; That&#8217;s the second number one album by a Nottingham artist this decade (if you count &#8217;em as Notts)!!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>#SpreadTheLove\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>x<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MOWBECK.
