Our next Nusic Academy Workshop sees Spotify<\/strong><\/a> come to Nottingham to present an Artist and Manager Masterclass, supported by PRS Foundation’s<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>‘Talent Development Partner Network’.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Masterclass will be presented by Drew Lam who is in the Artist & Manager Services Team at Spotify UK. His team act as the\u00a0direct point of contact for artists and managers, so he’s the perfect person to tell you how to get the most out of Spotify.<\/span><\/p>\n

As Drew is presenting, the Workshop will follow a different style to usual. Drew will deliver Spotify’s official presentation on how to build a presence on the platform, get followers and effectively promote your music. From these pearls of wisdom, you\u2019ll also learn about how playlists work <\/span>and <\/span><\/i>how to measure your performance across Spotify.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After the presentation, there\u2019ll be a Q&A period where you\u2019ll be able to quiz Drew with any questions you have so that you can walk away Spotify-Woke and ready for world domination. <\/span><\/p>\n

Come the end of the Workshop, there will be one of our famous Spread The Love sessions. Which is basically like speed-dating for musicians: you put your hand up and say you need something (a new band member, producer, manager, video director) and then anyone that does what you need can have a chat with you. Then you make beautiful (metaphorical) musical babies.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Nusic Advice Fair will be taking place alongside the Workshop. A fresher’s fair, for musicians. There’ll be loads of\u00a0 the usual musician helping entities setting up stalls before and after the workshop. You can go up to ’em, have a chat, find out what they’re about and (hopefully) walk away with plenty of knowledge and wisdom.<\/p>\n

As with all Nusic Academy events, it is entirely free. Yup for you, your sister, your bandmate, your pet hamster (okay, maybe not your pet hamster), you get the picture. Loads of free music advice, for free. Did we mention it\u2019s free?<\/span><\/p>\n
