Ok, perhaps that\u2019s a l i t t l e premature but it may as well be Christmas freakin\u2019 Day with the awesome selection of live music and new material releases this week. We\u2019re sparking a music-induced robot uprising, venturing across Scandinavia and digging out our hareem pants. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>FRIDAY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"\"><strong>EYRE LLEW<\/strong><\/a> are fresh back from Korea and will be playing <strong>Glee Club<\/strong> on Friday to launch their new album, \u2018Atelo\u2019 (you can read our review for the album <a href=\"\">here<\/a>). The band\u2019s genre defying music is tricky to describe &#8211; it\u2019s hopeful, it\u2019s melancholic, it\u2019s you wondering through the snowy Norwegian countryside with nothing but a note for guidance\u2026 Speaking of the band\u2019s videos (props to everyone who got that reference), we got together with Jack, Jack and Sam a couple of weeks back and had a go at making some new, genre defying tunes with edible instruments, <a href=\"\">here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Desert Mountain Tribe<\/strong> from London will also be playing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Glee Club<\/strong><br \/>\nFriday 10th November<br \/>\nDoors: 6:30pm<br \/>\nEntry: \u00a35.50<\/p>\n<p><strong>SATURDAY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"\"><strong>GEORGE GADD<\/strong><\/a> is also launching new material this week. He\u2019ll be playing at <strong>Rough Trade<\/strong> to celebrate the release of his new single, \u2018Not Human\u2019. The single, much like the rest of George\u2019s music, reminds me a bit of that meme that went viral a couple years back of <strong>Ed Sheeran<\/strong> standing by some Autumn leaves, but then you look closer and it\u2019s made of multiple <strong>Ed Sheerans<\/strong>. What I mean is, his music has many layers that give a little more with each listen. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supporting George is <a href=\"\"><strong>CAMERON SINCLAIR HARRIS<\/strong><\/a>, who you may remember from our <a href=\"\"><strong>Future Session<\/strong><\/a> a while back<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. His music has got a <strong>Frank Turner<\/strong> vibe to it, filled with interesting observations about society, such as \u2018<em>24 hour news machine, tell me what to buy to make me beautiful, teach me how to feel, god save the queen<\/em>\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"\"><strong>KATIE COOPER<\/strong><\/a> will be turning up the chill factors to about 98% with atmospheric, cosmic R&amp;B tracks such as \u2018Say\u2019, which makes us wanna kick back all cosy and watch the world go by.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"\"><strong>ANWYN WILLIAMS<\/strong><\/a> is back playing after a while away. She\u2019ll be charming us all with hypnotic, folksy melodies and stories that make us feel like we\u2019re sitting around a campfire with our best mates, having a moment bonding over music and life (cheesy but true. Sometimes cheesy is just FTW ok?! Gawd).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Rough Trade<\/strong><br \/>\nSaturday 11th November<br \/>\nDoors: 7pm<br \/>\nEntry: \u00a34 adv, \u00a35 otd<\/p>\n<p><strong>SATURDAY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"\"><strong>UNKNOWN ERA<\/strong><\/a> are bringing us the second edition of Misfit Fest, this time articulately called \u2018Rise of the Rejected\u2019. Not sure why exactly, but that name reminds us of some sort of Iron-man style robot uprising. Just a thought.
