Big up Notts. x<\/p>\n<p><b>THURSDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Them good eggs at <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>Phlexx<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are doing another fundraiser full of Notts music this week, this time supporting <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>POW Nottingham<\/b><\/a><b>.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> POW, not Cow. V different.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kicking things off we have the dreamy (as in their tunes) four piece <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>SONDERLUST<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. \u00a0I\u2019m not gonna lie to you reader, I\u2019ve sat here tryna describe for quite some time now &#8211; and I\u2019m struggling &#8211; cos they are so unique, in the best way. So probs just listen to their awesomeness yourself (<\/span><a href=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">). \u00a0<\/span><a href=\"\"><b>FOULE<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are next up bringing the psychedelic goodness, w\/ plenty of catchy melodies too. A bit Indie, a bit Alternative, and with a dash sprinkling of Pop sensibility. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Headlining is the artist formerly known as <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>HOLLY TAYLOR-GAMBLE<\/b><\/a><b>.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Who know goes by the name of <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>AVA SAINT<\/b><\/a><b>.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Badass is probs the best word to describe Ava. Raw energy, killer style, and songs for daaaaaaaays. You&#8217;ll wanna say you were there for the rebirth of HTG.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Paper Beats Scissors<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from Montreal (yes, as in, Quebec) are also playing. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thursday 12th April<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rough Trade Nottingham<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Price: Donation OTD. Suggested: \u00a32<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 8pm<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>FRIDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The lovely humans that are <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>Under The Tree<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are joining forces w\/ <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>Spotlight<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to bring you a night of beaut music over at\u00a0<\/span><b><a href=\"\">Rough Trade Nottingham<\/a>. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kicking things off is <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>CALLUM URQUHART<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> bringing some rather lovely acoustic Singer-Songwriter vibes to the RT stage. Then we have the Dream-Folk-Fusion of <\/span><b><a href=\"\">LEONORA<\/a>. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Her one-liner description mentions Laura Marling and The Staves and you can defo hear the influence, but her mega distinct helps keep it super unique. Next up are the acoustic blues super-duo known as <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>THE GIRL &amp; THE STONE<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, featuring Will Jeffrey and Kim Bignell. Voices that compliment each other perfectly, and some rather beaut songs too. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Carl North &amp; The Lonely Hearts<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from Manchester are also playing. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Friday 13th April<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rough Trade Nottingham<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Price: free<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 7pm<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SATURDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last month, <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>Women in Music <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">put on a killer lineup of industry talks, all about badass females, funnily enough, in the music industry.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This month, they&#8217;ve teamed up w\/ <a href=\"\"><strong>Phlexx Records<\/strong><\/a> to come to\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"\"><b>Bodega<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, putting on a bunch of awesome women, playing acoustic tunes for those ears of yours. And it&#8217;s all raising money for <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>Equation<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> too! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First up are the stunning Laura Marling-esque sounds of <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>ALICE ROBBINS<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Post coming out of studio hibernation (great idea Alice, it\u2019s been fucking freezing!), she\u2019s back to share them beaut acoustic tunes w\/ us. Next up is a fellow Alice &#8211; <\/span><b><a href=\"\">ALICE SHORT<\/a>. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Political, honest, and also full of banging choruses. AS has been killing it with the singles (and music videos) recently.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then there\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>KELSEY SHAW<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> who has such a belter of a voice it really does blow us away a little bit (nah seriously, we move like a whole three inches sometimes). Jest aside &#8211; she\u2019s got a super powerful voice that\u2019ll leave you stunned, and probs quiet. That\u2019s nice init, when you shut up for a minute, you chatterbox, you. <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>BONBINOME<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are up next, and they\u2019re a duo thar describe themselves better than I ever could &#8211; \u201cgirls with guitars and harmonies\u201d. BEAUTIFUL HARMONIES. That\u2019ll leave you a bit like oh my god maaaan, and maybs do a little cry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Theeeeeen there\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>PRIMA HERA<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The solo project of <strong>TWIN KIDD&#8217;s<\/strong> Stef Williamson. And we thiiiink this is one of her first gigs (solo, obvs). She describes her music as Lo-fi Ambient Pop, and we\u2019re ngl guys, we\u2019re v excited to see how that translates at good old Bodega. Finally we haveeeeee\u2026 <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>AVA SAINT<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Again. Yeah she\u2019s bossing it bloody everywhere. But this time, a bit more chilled out as your ears will be treated to an acoustic performance.
