As HC release their debut album (on legendary Notts label <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>Earache<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), it\u2019s a good question. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yes x 10000872.4<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Whack the album on, blast those crappy Logitech speakers as loud as they\u2019ll go, and embrace the chaos. Whether it\u2019s opening track <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018Patriot\u2019<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that has you feeling like you\u2019re playing guitar hero on speed, or personal highlight No.2 \u2018<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">American Graffiti<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019. Which has a thumping rhythm that makes ya want to punch the air every single beat (well, depending on how many pints you\u2019ve had). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vocalist Matt\u2019s\u2026 well, vocal somehow continues to develop even more on this project. The screams are\u2026 fuller. The sing-y bits are, well, just perfect for the concoction of sounds around them. And he<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0defies the laws of throat biology the way he keeps using his vocal chords after screaming non-stop.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Current single <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018Bad News (Travels Fast)\u2019 <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is an interesting beast. And I mean that in the genuine interesting way, not the \u2018girl doesn\u2019t want to tell you she doesn\u2019t like you\u2019 kinda way. I don\u2019t know much about music theory reader, I\u2019ll be direct. But I think it\u2019s intentionally slightly ofoffbeatand it shouldn\u2019t work. But it really does. And it makes ya wanna do that classic air-guitar thrust a good guitar song does, but cos it&#8217;s offbeat you look even more of a dad dancer than normal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019m starting to realise a <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>HAGGARD CAT<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> album is basically the audio equivalent of a Davina workout DVD.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But better.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And with less lycra.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yours in Love of New Music,<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sam Nahirny x<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BABY GODZILLA were mental.
