Chicago Nottsness, Bruce Springsteen, plus the best shit joke you\u2019ve ever heard. What a wonderful time to be alive. x<\/span><\/p>\n

MONDAY <\/b><\/p>\n

Chicago boy, turned Notts resident, <\/span>JOEY COSTELLO <\/b><\/a>is launching his sophomore EP this week and to celebrate, he\u2019s taking over Acoustic Rooms for the eve. If you\u2019re unfamiliar with JC, he makes some stunning Folk-music, with more than a touch of Soul to it. And a sprinkling of nostalgic Emo bands like City and Colour<\/strong> \/ Augustana<\/strong>. From what we’ve heard of the EP, it’s sounding super spesh, so we can’t wait to see how it translates live.<\/span><\/p>\n

Supporting is <\/span>MOLLIE RALPH<\/b><\/a> with her beaut Pop-Folk sounds, and her banging belter of a voice. As someone not versed in the vocabulary of vocals\u00a0 I\u2019ll just say her voice is like the musical equivalent of some really nice chocolate. Smooth, impressive, and it makes you feel happy inside. Yeahhhhh.<\/span><\/p>\n

Oh, and there\u2019s an open mic too hosted by <\/span>LAURIE ILLINGWORTH<\/b><\/a>,<\/b> which already has a bunch of awesome signups. Get. On. It.<\/span><\/p>\n

THURSDAY <\/b><\/p>\n

Notts\u2019 own Bruce Springsteen, <\/span>DAVID OCHROMBEL<\/b><\/a> is launching his EP \u2018Making Memories\u2019<\/em> this week, and he\u2019s throwing a proper good party at Head of Steam<\/strong><\/a> to celebrate. David is a Bluesy genius, who crafts beaut layered effects with his distinct husky vocal to make a sound that feels totally unique. And as he\u2019s releasing his musical baby into the world, we\u2019re sure he\u2019ll be putting on an epic performance too. <\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s a mega support lineup too. <\/span>BONBIN\u00d4ME<\/b><\/a> kick things off with their insanely beautiful harmonies, and haunting melodies. <\/span>BEN MARK SMITH<\/b><\/a> is rocking up to bring you some awesome Folk-y goodness. And just pre sir Ochrombel taking to the stage, <\/span>JINDA BIANT<\/b><\/a> will bring some Soulful Blues-y vibes. <\/span><\/p>\n

FRIDAY <\/b><\/p>\n

FOR THE GIRL<\/b><\/a> are bringing all the Pop-Rock bangers to <\/span>Rock City <\/b><\/a>basement this weekend for a headline show. And it\u2019s not just for girls\u2026 reckon they\u2019ve heard that joke before?<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re unfamiliar, FTG make these BIG guitar Pop anthems. Kinda like The 1975<\/strong> and Circa Waves<\/strong> had a proper Notts baby. Prepare your ears and eyes for insanely catchy melodies, duffle bags of charisma, and hooks that\u2019ll have your mind distracted till at least 11.24pm Sunday. <\/span><\/p>\n

Kicking off the night are <\/span>BLACK CATS & MAGPIES<\/b><\/a>, who, other than having a great name, make some fat sounding Indie Rock. A lil bit anthemic, a lil bit melodic, and a whole lot of good, it\u2019s the perfect start to a banging basement night.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also playing are <\/span>Kid Luna<\/b> from King\u2019s Lynn.<\/span><\/p>\n
