Summer really is in full swing yano. But instead of sodding off on holiday, Notts musicians are putting the graft in, cos yet again there\u2019s bloody loads of quality gigs on. And this week, it’s particularly heart-warming. Here\u2019s what we reckon you should get yer pretty face down to. <\/span><\/p>\n

FRIDAY<\/b><\/p>\n

This past few months, bloody loads of Notts musicians have been coming together to craft a charity single – \u2018<\/span>Back on My Feet\u2019<\/span><\/i>, all in aid of Notts homeless charities. Led by local hero Cibele, she\u2019s brought 38 musicians together to feature on the record. Now, how the heck they\u2019re all gonna fit on that <\/span>Bodega<\/b><\/a> stage we don\u2019t know (it\u2019ll be\u2026 cosy), but what we do know is 100% of profits and royalties go to Framework and Emmanuel House, there\u2019s gonna be a bunch of musical surprises, and, let’s face it – it\u2019s gonna be well special. In 2016, you may have seen a bunch of Notts humans dominate the BBC Proms. They were \/ are the <\/span>ABLE ORCHESTRA<\/b><\/a>, a collective of disabled and non-disabled young people from Fountaindale School and Outwood Academy Portland. Collectively, they create this stunning orchestral electronic music, and pair it with some beaut visuals too. This Friday, they\u2019re taking over Nottingham Contemporary\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> \u2018Space\u2019 venue, for what we\u2019re sure will be a very touching evening. Pssst, <\/span>tickets<\/span><\/a> must be reserved in advance though.<\/span><\/p>\n

SATURDAY<\/b><\/p>\n

Over a hundred local musicians. Playing in Kimberley. All for charity. Boomtingaling. This Saturday The Kimberley Jam<\/strong> <\/a>returns bringing all those things we just said. This year they\u2019re raising money for the Kimberley Scouting & Girl Guiding, and Kimberley Miners Welfare Youth Football Club. Get ahht of the city centre, grab a bevvy, and have some fun. You deserve it. Xo <\/span><\/p>\n
