Two charity gigs and some nutshells. Another bliss week in Notts x<\/span><\/p>\n

TUESDAY <\/b><\/p>\n

Ahh the legendary <\/span>Notts in a Nutshell<\/a> –<\/b> where many of your fav Notts artists played their first gigs. This week they\u2019ve got another banging lineup. Who\u2019s on it? Let us tell ya.<\/span><\/p>\n

Starting proceedings we have the Acoustic-Pop bliss of <\/span>BILLY REYNOLDS<\/b><\/a>. Super catchy. Super slick. And\u2026 proper funny too, he\u2019s always a pleasure to catch live. Then the Indie-Poppers in <\/span>THE HEADSPACE<\/b><\/a> are up – and let us tell ya, dayummm do they know how to write a catchy hook. Lead single \u2018<\/span>Can\u2019t Be Friend<\/span><\/i>s\u2019 is a proper ear-worm. Ending the night we have the gents in FADING BLONDE<\/strong><\/a>, having just played Rescue Rooms main stage supporting <\/span>DON\u2019T FORGET RUPERT<\/b><\/a>,<\/a> these guys are basically seasoned pros now. Come have a bop to their swish Indie-Rock vibes. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Voques<\/b> from Scunthorpe are also playing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tuesday 11th September

THURSDAY <\/b><\/p>\n

This Thursday a bunch of ace Notts bands are coming together at <\/span>Rough Trade<\/b><\/a> to raise money for <\/span>VSO<\/b><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kicking things off we have the Grunge-y goodness of <\/span>UNIFIED ROOTS<\/b><\/a>. Distortion and aggression bottled up in a three-piece Punk-y package. Following we have the brilliantly named <\/span>THE JELLYFISH ARE COMING<\/b><\/a>, also bringing the Punk-y vibes, so make sure you\u2019re ready to get a good lil mosh on. <\/span>YOUTH HOTEL<\/b><\/a> are up next, bringing all the jangly happy goodness you could ever ask for. Then, <\/span>VANITY BOX<\/a> <\/b>take to the stage full of their anthemic Indie guitar anthems. Oh, and then topping it all off we have the melt-your-face off Psych-Rock of <\/span>CLONK!<\/a>.<\/b> Remember your ear plugs, kids (cos ear health is important)!<\/span><\/p>\n

Marvin\u2019s Revenge<\/b> from Derby are also playing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thursday 13th September

FRIDAY<\/b><\/p>\n

The Nottingham Hellfire Harlots are a roller derby league based in Notts. This Friday – to raise some dollar, they\u2019re putting on a fundraiser gig at <\/span>The Maze<\/b><\/a>. It\u2019s a proper tasty lineup, with all acts celebrating female and queer artists. <\/span><\/p>\n

Acoustic-wise <\/span>RACHAEL WEBSTER<\/b><\/a> and <\/span>CHLOE RODGERS<\/b><\/a> will be bringing all the beaut chill vibes your ears have been desiring after your loooooong\u00a0week. And once you\u2019re all zenned out, you can get amped the fuck up again with full band sets from <\/span>TOWERS<\/b><\/a>, <\/span>BOSS MAGNET<\/b><\/a> and <\/span>SIRENITY<\/b><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n
