Photo Credit:<\/strong> Unknown.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All the\u00a0good vibes \/ success headlines from the Nottingham music scene over the past few months (that we know of)<\/strong>, please drop us a line if we\u2019ve missed anything significant (our definition of significant is a first of national relevance) \u2013 nusic@leftlion.co.uk.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0 <strong>1Xtra<\/strong> dedicated two whole hours of National radio to Notts &#8211; broadcast live from <strong>Confetti<\/strong> &#8211; and featuring tons of live performances \/ tunes from Hoodtown.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"\"><strong>ADY SULEIMAN&#8217;s<\/strong><\/a> debut album &#8216;<em>Memories<\/em>&#8216; reached No.1 on the iTunes R&amp;B \/ Soul Chart.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"\"><strong>YAZMIN LACEY<\/strong><\/a> signed to the <strong>First Word Records<\/strong> family, AND was live in session for Gilles Peterson on <strong>6Music<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"\"><strong>NACTUS KUNAN<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"\"><strong>JOEL BAKER<\/strong><\/a> were featured on <strong>New Music Friday<\/strong> &#8211; one of the biggest playlists in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong><a href=\"\">CAMERON SINCLAIR HARRIS<\/a><\/strong> received his debut National radio play for &#8216;<em>Scatterbrain<\/em>&#8216; courtesy of John Kennedy on <strong>Radio X<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"\"><strong>HARELIGHBLU<\/strong><\/a> joined the growing list of Notts artists to get funding from <strong>PRS Foundation<\/strong> &#8211; receiving the &#8216;Momentum Fund&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"\"><strong>FEROCIOUS DOG<\/strong><\/a> became the first ever unsigned Notts artist to sell out <a href=\"\"><strong>Rock City<\/strong><\/a>&#8230; TWICE!<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"\"><strong>HAGGARD CAT<\/strong><\/a> received epic print reviews for their debut in <strong>Kerrang!, Metal Hammer<\/strong> and <strong>Total Guitar!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"\"><strong>SHEKU KANNEH MASON<\/strong><\/a> played&#8230; basically the biggest gig of the year &#8211; the Royal Wedding &#8211; and was broadcast to millions of humans on the BBC. Oh, and he <a href=\"\">basically won a BRIT Award too.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"\"><strong>JUGANAUT<\/strong><\/a> received a 9 \/ 10 review in <strong>DJMag<\/strong> for &#8216;<em>Acrylic &amp; Oil<\/em>&#8216;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"\"><strong>ROB GREEN<\/strong><\/a> went on tour with the legendary <strong>Earth Wind and Fire,<\/strong> in arenas all around the UK&#8230; and PARIS!<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>VICE<\/strong> did a mini-documentary on Notts&#8217; vibrant Electronic music scene (peep <a href=\"\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"\"><strong>AJA<\/strong><\/a> won The Oram Award &#8211; courtesy of <strong>PRS Foundation<\/strong> and <strong>The Radiophonic.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"\"><strong>YOUNG T &amp; BUGSEY<\/strong><\/a> had their first Top 40 hit! With &#8216;<em>Ay Carumba<\/em>&#8216;, which was also called &#8216;the biggest record in the clubs for the rest of the year&#8217; by Charlie Sloth.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"\"><strong>LAUREN APRIL<\/strong><\/a> scored a UK <strong>iTunes<\/strong> Top 20 for her EP &#8211; in at No.15 on the Country charts.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong><a href=\";__tn__=%2Cdm-R-R&amp;eid=ARA6CQ_taLMt9MxPAXfQxbvnYBWGXQc33eA1uENQW6ps9SWXjchIswiM_6hJ9LS1jeNkqUPz9u_uom5R\">OLIVER DAVIS<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"\">KEN SAMSON<\/a> <\/strong>made it onto the DAYTIME <strong>1Xtra<\/strong> playlist &#8211; <strong>BBC Introducing<\/strong> styley.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"\"><strong>BROADSTROKES<\/strong><\/a> was made Tom Ravenscrofts&#8217; &#8216;Headphone Moment&#8217; on <strong>6Music<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"\"><strong>Macmillan Fest<\/strong><\/a> had another killer year &#8211; raising over \u00a39000 this year alone.
