Here we goooo\u2026 x<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>TUESDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This week sees the return of the annual NTU vs Confetti \u2018Ultimate Battle of the Bands\u2019. Now, BOTB\u2019s can be a bit lame sometimes, but tbf this one\u2019s actually pretty ace. With artists generally falling somewhere on the Rock \/ Indie spectrum, and competing for some sick prizes too, it\u2019s always a fun one. And it\u2019s in the Trent SU, which is a pretty sweeeet venue too. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From NTU: <\/span><b><a href=\"\">RE TEU<\/a>, <a href=\"\">THE FRANTICS<\/a>, KATHARSIS <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and<\/span><b> ECHO CHAMBERS.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From Confetti: <\/span><b><a href=\"\">BUCARRA<\/a>, NEAR MRS, VELVET BLUSH <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and<\/span><b><a href=\"\"> MARVIN\u2019S REVENGE<\/a>. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And, it\u2019s free. And what else ya gonna do on a Tuesday\u2026 ay? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tuesday 19th March<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nottingham Trent Students Union<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Price: free<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 730pm<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>FRIDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\"><b>THE HALF EIGHT<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> dropped a new EP a few weeks ago, full of tunes that would not sound out of place alongside The Vamps at Motorpoint Arena. So, to celebrate, they\u2019re throwing a party at the (slightly smaller) <\/span><b>Rough Trade<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Full of woah-ohs (you know the ones), guitar bits that are annoyingly catchy (the ones you sing along to, as well as the words), plus, ya know, lyrics about that love thing we can all relate to. Their live shows are always a blissful madness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supporting is the Pop angel that is <\/span><b><a href=\"\">HOLLY FALLON<\/a>. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Having just dropped an EP herself &#8211; Holly\u2019s got together a back catalogue of proper Electro-Pop bangers. Ya know, the kind that Dua Lipa would sing and end up getting an overplayed number one hit with. That &#8211; but less annoying. Anyways you can see them on stage at RT before she\u2019s mega famous.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also supporting is <\/span><b>Bronnie<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from Caldy. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Friday 22nd March<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rough Trade Nottingham<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Price: \u00a34<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Doors: 7pm<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SATURDAY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Psych-y, majestic homosapiens in <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>SOFT GIRLS AND BOYS CLUB<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are releasing their new EP this week &#8211; and to celebrate they\u2019re throwing a lil party shindig down at <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>The Bodega<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Full of big riffs, soaring melodies, plus some pretty beaut harmonies, this lot are well special. If ya haven\u2019t heard \u2018em, peep their Future Session <a href=\"\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supporting are <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>VEGA BAY <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><a href=\"\"><b>JIMI MACK<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"\">.<\/a> The former, are a bunch of gentlemen who are very very good at writing an annoyingly catchy Pop-Rock tune. The latter, a human full of heart-warming, wise Folk tales and intricate acoustic guitar playing. Including a bunch of single launches. We tried our hardest to be objective and fair, and think that EP launches + 8 Notts artists for free won over single launches.
