\nHope you all had a good bonfire weekend! There were so many amazing gigs to choose from this week but these are our final Top 3!
\n
\nARSE FULL OF CHIPS ALBUM LAUNCH<\/a><\/strong> at ACOUSTIC ROOMS<\/a><\/strong> at The Rescue Rooms<\/a><\/strong> on Monday the 7th.
\n
\nGERRY TRIMBLE<\/a><\/strong> is opening the night at Acoustic Rooms<\/strong> where he’s no stranger. He plays a nice mix of love songs thrown in with some angry folk songs. Oh and also a song about losing his virginity to two (yes, two!) girls. Listen out for that one.
\n
\nThe second act of the night are BEN AND VINNY<\/a><\/strong> who have an awesome musical attack of piano melodies and beatboxing. Check them out!
\n
\nJODY BETTS<\/a><\/strong> is up next. It’s just him, his guitar and a whole lot of charisma. We love him!
\n
\nSTUCK IN 2ND<\/a><\/strong> are up next with their surfy balance of acoustic reggae. We did a session with them back in our Notts Unsigned days which you can see here<\/a>. A particular favourite of ours is “Go Reggae Or Go Home” which is a big sing-a-long tune. See you down the front.
\n
\nLadies and gentleman, drum roll please because up next is ARSE FULL OF CHIPS<\/a><\/strong>! This is their first gig since July so beware people, it’s gonna be mad! If you haven’t seen AFOC before then be aware it’s not for the light-hearted…and you might see a willy. I am very much looking forward to this one, and yes I did say willy.

\nThen we have the SHARP KNEES<\/a><\/strong> Album Launch on the 11th November at Nottingham Contemporary<\/strong><\/a>.
\n
\nSHARP KNEES<\/a><\/strong> label themselves as noisy pop and have performed at both V festival and the Reading Festival in 2010 as well as being crowned champions of \u201cNottingham Battle of the Bands.\u201d
\n
\nThe night is celebrating the release of SHARP KNEES<\/strong>\u2019 brand new album \u201cMonster Mountain\u201d and LOVEphotography’s<\/a> 1st birthday. There is also going to be wicked performances from other artists including the fabulous NINA SMITH<\/a><\/strong>, plus a host of super cool DJ sets…could be a late night.

\nDoors: 7.30pm

\nNext on the menu is the HARLIKINGS<\/strong> on the 12th of November at The Maze.
\n
\nHARLIKINGS<\/a><\/strong> are a lively combo of rock, pop, indie and jazz and are without doubt a band you should go out of your way to see live \u2013 especially at this gig \u2018cos they will be debuting some new songs live for the first time!
\n
\nSupport comes from THE AFTERDARK MOVEMENT<\/a><\/strong> whose grimey, hip hop flavoured vibe fused with Drum n Bass create one funky monkey of a band. We did a Future Session with them which you can check out here<\/a>!
\n
\nIf that\u2019s not enough to wet your appetite also featuring is Michael A Grammar and the Nottingham\u2019s own smashing JUST JAMES<\/a><\/strong>.
\n
\nJUST JAMES<\/strong> can be described in a number of ways but the best way is probably to just say they are amazingly good intense fun. A recipe of synth, beatboxing, and a stunning front girl with a stunning voice make JUST JAMES<\/strong> unmissable. Check out our Future Session with them here<\/a>.
