It may be easier just to send a link direct to the POLL.
– The POLL is used by massive organisations such as MTV and even the Egyptian Government, if hundreds of thousands of peeps are voting for their favourite Katy Perry video or Egyptian politician the POLL can be slow.
– You may wish to explain to supporters that they CAN OPT OUT of the POLL App (if worried about privacy matters) AFTER voting has finished, if they opt out before voting has finished YOUR VOTE MAY BE LOST and your score could go down. In testing we can’t establish this definitively.
– BIAS – The Nusic team have all voted as part of our testing of the POLL App, but their votes will NOT be counted in the final result.
– CHEATING – The POLL Apps allows us to identify online naughtiness, if we spot cheating you will be disqualified.

There was a rumour during the Future Sound of Nottingham that you could BUY VOTES. THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE, the POLL APP offers a feature like Google’s Pay For Click where the POLL admin (in this case us) can advertise the POLL to generate more interest (which we don’t need to do) and this is charged on a per vote gained for the overall poll basis. The buying of specific votes for specific artists IS NOT POSSIBLE.

The scores will be publicly visible until 48 hours before the deadline, voting then continues but the scores are hidden, this is to ensure the vote is still up in the air and we can announce exclusively on the next New Music Podcast, which drives more audience to the podcast spreading the Nottingham music love for everyone.

On request at the 48 hours to go point we can provide (thanks to the POLL App) semi-finalists with a specific breakdown of who has voted for them, thereby letting you know who you need to chase, email nusic@leftlion.co.uk with the subject title ‘I WANT TO KNOW IF MY OTHER HALF HAS BOTHERED’.

Finally you can hear who you are up against in the brand new New Music Podcast.

Yours In Love of New Music
vlr
The Nusic Team

Dear Semi-Finalist Massive congrats on making it to the semi-finals!
