With quirky time signatures, catchy guitar riffs and vocals reminiscent to that of <strong>The Strokes<\/strong>, you\u2019ll find yourself nodding along in no time and getting as groovy as the basslines. With sets that are always full of fun, charm and top songs, they promise to get stuck in your head and leave you wanting more. With a beautiful, soothing voice that will take you away and guitar skills way beyond his years, Frankie\u2019s soulful acoustic\/indie folk sounds are the perfect start to the evening. First up and most-likely to start a mosh pit are the face-meltingly good <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/opie.deino#!\/sinnershighway\">SINNERS HIGHWAY<\/a><\/strong>. With hardcore solos, brutal drumming and THAT voice, this band have provide no frills Rock in all its glory, we salute you <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/opie.deino#!\/sinnershighway\">SINNERS HIGHWAY<\/a><\/strong>. Have a gander at their <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/category\/live-sessions\/\">Future Session<\/a><\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/future-session-20-50-sinners-highway\/\">HERE.<\/a><\/strong> <BR><br \/>\nFollowing with another of Nottingham\u2019s finest voices are <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/opie.deino#!\/TheBarnumMeserve\">THE BARNUM MESERVE<\/a><\/strong>. Their brooding melodies, raucous riffs and theatrical piano solos are all tied together in a neat little Rock &#8216;n&#8217; Roll package by the gritty vocals of Leon Wiley creating a wall of sound that will shake the stage. Atmospheric, unique and undeniably massive, be at the <strong>Jagermeister Stage <\/strong> at 1.15pm to catch their set.  <BR><br \/>\nChampions of smart, complex rock <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/opie.deino#!\/kappagammamusic\">KAPPA GAMMA<\/a><\/strong> are the next Notts act on the bill. Sounding like a slightly heavier <strong>Foals<\/strong>, these guys can be counted on to deliver a set brimming with charm, energy and banging tunes, and with Dot to Dot, Radio 1 and XFM plays now firmly under their belts, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/opie.deino#!\/kappagammamusic\">KAPPA GAMMA<\/a><\/strong> are one to watch.<BR><br \/>\nPenultimate act on the <strong>Jagermeister Stage<\/strong> is the electric <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/opie.deino#!\/ohronikagirl\">RONIKA<\/a><\/strong>. With the sound of early <strong>Madonna<\/strong> and the hooks and looks of <strong>Gwen Stefani<\/strong>, her sugar sweet electro pop will be the rush you need. Having recently remixed <strong>Little Boots<\/strong>, her collaboration with <strong>Herv\u00e9 <\/strong> and another with dance demon <strong>Mylo<\/strong> in the pipelines, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/opie.deino#!\/ohronikagirl\">RONIKA\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> the artist everyone wants a piece of and her future is looking as bright as her lipstick. <BR><br \/>\n<strong>THE MAIN STAGE<\/strong> <BR><br \/>\nIt&#8217;s the slot that some of Nottingham&#8217;s finest unsigned artists competed for, opening the <strong>Splendour<\/strong> 2012 Main Stage are <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/future-sound-of-nottingham\/\">Future Sound of Nottingham<\/a><\/strong> winners <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/opie.deino#!\/TheAfterdarkMovement\">THE AFTERDARK MOVEMENT<\/a><\/strong>. With soon to be anthem <em>&#8216;Since I&#8217;ve Been Here&#8217;<\/em> and their own brand of stylish, funk-infused hip-hop, this six piece have already established themselves as local urban legends and having recently smashed it at Wireless Festival in Hyde Park, they\u2019re on the right track to becoming national ones too. Watch out, <strong>Dizzee<\/strong>. <BR><br \/>\nThe second act on the main stage, the artist with as much buzz around him as a bee\u2019s nest, is local boy done good<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/opie.deino#!\/jakebugguk\">JAKE BUGG<\/a><\/strong>. It was nearly two years ago that Nusic\u2019s predecessor Notts Unsigned gave young Jake his first Live Session (which you can check out <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ADbCKO0kfIk\">HERE<\/a><\/strong>). Now, named Zane Lowe\u2019s hottest record THREE times, a summer schedule packed with festivals and an album on its way, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/opie.deino#!\/jakebugguk\">JAKE BUGG <\/a><\/strong>is one of the hottest names in the music industry right now.
