Flirting with country, soul and folk, Hayley effortlessly commands the attention of the room from the moment she sings that first note.

Lead by guitar maestro David Atkin, his intricate guitar weaving is backed by the softly soaring flute melodies of Richard Jurgins and Nick McGill on the viola. \nFinal act on stage will be the utterly unique RED BEAR<\/a><\/strong>. \u00bc of CAPTAIN DANGEROUS<\/a><\/strong>, Adam Clarkson writes from the perspective of a bear in 1939 Finnish Karelia with the prospect of the Russian Invasion looming. No, we\u2019re not kidding. Strangely enough, the combination of catchy melodies, fantasy lyrics and Adam\u2019s softly powerful vocals make the music of RED BEAR<\/a><\/strong> completely addictive. The only \u2018Forest Pop\u2019 band we know of, don\u2019t miss out on RED BEAR<\/a><\/strong>.

\nHaving been on every podcast for the last 2 months, RYAN THOMAS<\/a><\/strong> has won us over at Nusic HQ with his old-man blues. With melancholy, haunting, acoustic tunes such as \u2018Hangover Blues<\/em>\u2019 and \u2018Don\u2019t Strike Me Down<\/em>\u2019, his music is reminiscent of a certain other young Nottingham bluesy acoustic artist\u2026

\nRAINBOW DOWN<\/a><\/strong>
\nSomething a little different, RAINBOW DOWN<\/a><\/strong> is a quirky electronic solo act whose influences range from \u20188bit to 80s electro-pop to industrial\u2019. The self-proclaimed \u2018electro\/homo\/solo\u2019 artist uses catchy melodies with experimental sounds to convey his message. His album \u2018Primary<\/em>\u2019 is available for free download on his website.

\nADAM PETER SMITH<\/a><\/strong>
\nSomeone you may or may not have seen busking outside Marks & Spencers armed with just a guitar and an incredible voice, ADAM PETER SMITH<\/a><\/strong> sounds like a cross between Jose Gonzalez<\/strong> and Snow Patrol<\/strong>. \nFollowing his Future Session<\/a><\/strong> (which you can see HERE<\/a><\/strong>), FRAZER LOWRIE<\/a><\/strong> has continued to wow crowds with his brilliant and unique approach to acoustic music. Penultimate act of the night, Frazer challenges the conventions of singer-songwriters with his subtle use of electronics and strikingly powerful vocals. Upbeat acoustic pop songs that will get you on your feet and onto the floor, keep your ears peeled for personal favourite \u2018For the Better<\/em>\u2019.

\nHaving finished in the Top 3 at this year’s Future Sound Of Nottingham<\/a><\/strong> competition JOE DANKS<\/a><\/strong> will be filling the headline slot at Under The Tree. Aged only 17, his ‘folk tinged pop’ is reminiscent of Ben Howard<\/strong> with his soft vocal style, mellow guitar and a voilin thrown in to add that certain je ne sais quoi<\/em>. Guaranteed acoustic anthems that you won\u2019t be able to stop singing!
